Reverb (especially high quality Verb) is the great equalizer. It can turn the mundane into a godlike sonic experience. When you hear even an old monophonic gem like a Moog without delay or reverb it's dead in the water. Add either Reverb Delay or both, and the heavens open. Chorusing also adds dimension and hey the NTS-1 has all three. Fun Vid
Bravo. My office has been ordered so I’m just doing that thing I do of bingeing FB vids until it arrives! Does the note chart you’ve made for the office sounds that have a 1-100 values also work for the Arcade sounds that have 1-100 values?
Linus Åkesson, the guy who designed the PO-2x series, recently did something similar. He demonstrated how the simple electronic tones of the C64 + an old spring reverb gave a really impressive organ sound.
@@FreeBeat Well I've ordered myself a NTS-1 for an early Christmas present to myself, especially as it doesn't look like we'll be going any where this year in the UK. So I might catch the new years show live when you air.
@@jthorpe4droid That'd be awesome, hope to see you there! I'll be announcing a little contest pertaining to the show in a couple days, stay tuned for that. And congrats on the NTS-1 purchase, you're gonna love it!
@@musicdefinesgravity you’ll need a lightning to USB adapter -preferably one made by apple (about $30) ... the one that has an extra port to plug in a power charger to help keep your device alive (these audio apps tend to eat lots of battery). Next you’ll need a USB audio interface adapter($15-$35)-I’d suggest one with stereo, like this: www.amazon.com/dp/B079CBGDST/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_CMy5FbMYK8718?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 You can also use a slightly more expensive 7.1 surround sound adapter, which opens up more opportunities for routing audio www.amazon.com/dp/B002LM0U2S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_MLy5FbN9ZYR01?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 - here’s a quick example of that one: instagram.com/p/B7xaBsxB7Rc/?igshid=bwjhqj6amcwt I’m sure there are free/ super cheap apps that will allow you to record in stereo ...I know the one from iRig worked last time I checked, but that was years ago. I would suggest AUM (apps.apple.com/us/app/aum-audio-mixer/id1055636344), which costs about $20USD, but is worth absolutely every penny (I’d say more!). This app will allow you to record in stereo, and integrate a bajillion types of audio goodies: AuV3 plugins, music apps, midi, ableton link bluetooth midi, audio interfaces (supports multiple midi devices simultaneously, though iOS will only recognize one audio interface/non-midi device at a time).
My music theory knowledge knows no bounds!!! My best friend is a music teacher with a masters in music ed and my lack of theory frustrates him to no end hahahaha

I really had no appreciation of how much of a difference effects made until I picked up the NTS-1. Glad you liked the video!
This is really good stuff. The reverb becomes its own instrument in a way. Nice work!!!
Thanks so much!
Awesome. Who would have believed it. Nicely melodic from the ‘office’. Now off to look for the note values chart you mentioned. Cheers. Lee
I love this!
Thank you!!

Thats nice jam!!!
Thanks!

I'll have to check that out, thanks!
I can never get enough of the NTS-1! Thanks to this video I’m now going to run all of my POs through it individually and see what happens 😆
Haha that's basically what I've been doing since I got mine. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making and uploading your videos.
Thank you so much for watching them!
That does sound pretty awesome, very cool.
It's amazing what a few effects can do to office equipment lol. Thanks for watching!

You are *always* an inspiration.
Thank you.😉👍👍
Thank you so very much!
I didn’t know you could do that with a office. I’m definitely gonna try that tonight!
Awesome, have fun!
Wow nice reverb!
Right? It's incredible!
That reverb really does sound noice !
It does!
The sound quality you got out of the office is insane. Does the Korg stand alone or do I have to buy something else?
All the Korg needs is wall power :)
I found that many AuV3 plugins for iOS also can do a great job of making this PO (and all others) sound pretty amazing
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to check them out!
How do you connect the 2

Hey FreeBeat. I use a stylus for my NTS-1 keyboard. Makes it so easy to play.
I used to have one but idk where it went! one of those things that only cost a couple dollars but I keep forgetting to buy lol
CLEARLY a C major chord. What a show-off. Oooh, look at me- I know moozik. Big wow.
Seriously, though, that NTS-1 is something else.
