    It seems like the questions the questions here are asked if the interviewer is an Electronics technician rather than a practicing Instrument Technician.
    1. In most cases, signal-to-noise ratio is not really an issue, because signals are transmitted through shielded cables. If you're using wireless transmission, it may be an issue, but in such a case, this problem revolves around the signal transmission and not the Instrument's measurement itself.
    2. Noise and Interference in Field Instrumentation are mostly due to electromagnetic interference caused by adjacent electrical equipment and power cables. Practical solutions are typically by cancelling the EMI by using cable shielding and grounding. So the answers like filtering, averaging, or isolation is not the appropriate answer.
