I don't know of a single Zelda fan that isn't excited for this game.

Don't take your own personal opinion and apply it to all Nintendo/Zelda fans. By and large almost all of the Nintento coverage I've seen and fans I've spoken to are thrilled and excited about this game. There are a few detractors, but they are very much in the minority.
I've been a fan of Zelda since I played the OG as a child on the NES. And I for one love BotW and TotK as much as I love LttP, OOT, WW, TP and all the other Zelda games. I'm looking forward to playing EoW soon.

Nintendo fan and Zelda fan here: what? no? This is awesome why would I be upset?
edit: Also, gotta be honest I really don't like the sentiment behind "you're playing as a female anyway so it might as well be cutesy"
    1) implying that being a woman automatically leads to cute things
    2) calling a woman a "female" is just kinda gross
    3) Are you saying that it would be out of place if we were playing as Link?
it's just a really weird sentiment on top of a really weird take of a video

Do Zelda fans care that we’re going open world? No. Going open world was the next logical step for the Zelda franchise. And besides, a lot of Zelda fans are more excited than upset.

Going open world does seem like a good idea, but it's the limitations that made old Zelda fun. Ultrahand and echoes ruin these games by giving a little to much freedom.

@@_NSMB.SS_Well let’s just wait until Echoes of Wisdom comes out to see how it handles its world. But yes I do agree that the sandbox style ruined Tears of Kingdom, however I’m more willing to blame the environment for that, because any obstacle in that game could be completely avoided with a hover bike.

I think the only reason they went with this style is so they dont have to invest too much in a huge game and saving those resources for the next gen. It makes us happy for the time being too. Win win.

I honestly am excited for this game. A playable Zelda is something fans are eager to see since Skyward Sword and Nintendo DS’s Spirit Tracks.
And it would’ve helped TOTK’s story since the plot has been divided into two parts. I would love to see more of her time travel journey in the Era of Hyrule’s Founding.

It’s genuinely baffling to me to see people make such generalizations that are just usually false because they’re based on absolutely nothing. Like this one, because I haven’t seen anyone complain about this game at all. Also to say “you’re playing as a female so why not make it cutesy” has to be some of the most ignorant shit. Why does being a women make them inherently more “cutesy” ? To me it just sounds like your own dog shit perceptions that you’re sort of passing onto other people by saying shit like “Nintendo fans are upset” when the truth is that one Nintendo fan is upset and it’s you. This video just felt super pointless and without direction because I’m not sure what your goal was

Actually I have seen nothing but huge positivity towards Echoes of Wisdom from the fanbase. Whilst it might be true that some fans are pining for a return to the more traditional Zelda formula this is more to do with the absence of certain series staples like dungeons. It has nothing to do with rejecting genuinely innovative new gameplay mechanics.

Because it's called the legend of Zelda and we play as Zelda and not Link and it's not called the legend of link. Worst game ever made 0/10. Yes even worse than the 90's CDI games.

We could have gotten Four Swords Adventures, Part II.
We could have gotten The Legend of Zelda: The End of a Curse.
We could have gotten a Zelda II remake, as brutal as the origunal but as fun as BotW.
Instead, we got Breath of the wild II: Zelda edition.
And, if this game isn't hard, it'll start the Mario Wonder spiral again.
