You know, I really like this interpretation of Fake Peppino. Instead of looking misshapen and _monstrous,_ she just looks mismatched in a kind of endearingly creepy fashion, like a rag doll or a homemade Halloween costume, as if Fake Peppina is trying really hard with what she was given. She gives off similar vibes to Pizzelle: that is to say, she looks like she’s about to have a nervous breakdown at any moment, and the fight and therefore the theme don’t intensify because of a warped sense of devotion like how Fake Peppino idolizes Peppino to an unhealthy degree, but rather out of _desperation_ instead, as she’s terrified of the idea of not stacking up to Peppina and is dead set on proving herself.
That's exactly what I thought too! It really fits her: essentially being a rough sketch of Peppina that's somehow even MORE anxious and awkward. Thus I tried to make this remix sound like she's having an anxiety attack the entire fight.
I like to imagine that unlike Fake Peppino intentionally fighting Peppino because he was told to, Fake Peppina is only fighting Peppina out of self defense. In other words, she's scared of Peppina, and doesn't like the fact that she just entered her domain uninvited. And that's why sometimes, in this soundtrack of PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS, it sounds shaky and jittery, as if Fake Peppina is becoming more scared and desperate to make her real counterpart go away. But hey, that's just my view on this.
