    There are two current popular recordings of this on youtube. Everyone here is rushing through it, again... to the point that the notes are almost indiscernible and it sounds like an old-fashioned record being played too fast! Please go back and listen to the tempo by Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, and Zuckerman, New York Philharmonic from the Lincoln center. That is a beautiful tempo!

      I partly agree. I think the Vivace is a bit too fast; but the Largo is way too slow for my taste.
