I have the same pump, maybe different model, in a closed loop system. I run 16 air outlets into tanks and have to run two open bleeder valves to relieve excess back pressure. I suspect you could run more outlets in a closed loop system and/or turning down the flow on some sponge filters. Thanks for the video. Cheers.
Putting your pump in a box is what I was ready to do, until I did some troubleshooting and tighten the diaphragm Phillips screw just barely snug. I left a comment at your first review, and also bought you a coffee ☕.
I have 2 of that exact air pump, but one is taking a turd. Can barely handle 9 sponge filters. I’ve ordered a replacement and we’ll see how it goes. If another craps out, it will be time to open the wallet and get a Jehmco. Fish corner is awesome! 👍
Possible, but it’s only 4 months old. It still works, just doesn’t have the pressure it did originally. It might be under warranty still. My first one is still going strong 💪
Well wouldn't hurt to pull it apart and see if you can tell whats wrong with it. Actually looking at the website, they do have a 12 month warranty. vivosun.com/pages/warranty
I thought I would post what I did to make mine quieter. This made a huge difference. I can barely hear mine now. 1. Tighten all screws (NOTE: it seemed to me all the holes in the aluminum casting where a bit sloppy, so I loaded each external screw with Teflon Tape, and reinstalled them). 2. Add Teflon Tape to the Brass nozzle barb (that also felt loose to me). 3. Remove the Rear Air Filter, and the 4 screws holding the Piston in place (See Picture). 4. Wrap some Teflon Tape around the ball bearing installed. It seemed to me this was where the rattle was coming from. I think the bearing is a little small, or there is more slope in the holes than needed. This cause a slight harmonic rattle. 5. Wrap tape (optional) on the screws holding both the rear plate and the air filter housing, and reinstall. 6. Run your pump and see if the rattle goes away.
Appreciate it, yeah they are nice little pumps. I put a fan on mine just to keep it cooler. I also have gotten used to it being a little loud. If it's for a fish room, then your good. If it's a bedroom, that you sleep in or say the family room, then you will have to get creative with placement and muffling the sound. I don't even hear mine anymore, but it's a fish room and I don't mind the noise either.
I have the same pump. My only issue isn't the sound, its the vibration it causes. I have a down stairs neighbor who doesn't need to be slowly driven crazy. lol
I have bought 3 of them. They are the 750 gph and they are great. But I can only get air flow to all tanks if I put the hose no more than two inches in the water. But I have 8 tanks on 1.then I have 9 tanks on one. And then I have 6 ponds going on the third one. Buy I eliminated about 30 pumps and filters. So I'm happy with them. As the room gets bigger I'm be getting more.
I have 20 outlets on my 1 pump, but I have a loop made of PVC pipe that makes this happen. Perhaps if you put a loop system in you could get more out of your pumps?
Mey man you are choking your pump right off the start. increase the size of the line from the pump to your pvc line and it will run cooler and provide more air! but good set up man!
But how is it in a hydroponic setup I think thats what they are supposed to be for technically vivosun is hydro stuff lights pumps etc. How is it in real setup
It's a 32 watt pump, so not that much. It runs over 20 tanks though, so if you could imagine the cost per pump and the electricity usage for each one for 20 tanks, this is a lot better.
@@jamesb4039 I bought the air pump. Installed it last week. Love the air pump so much air. Fabricated a steel bracket. So I can hang the pump by its handle for I don't hear vibrations on wood. Put the air pump inside the wood cabinet under the 100 gallon fish tank. Installed Servo fan that will cool the air pump. Also installed a thermostat that will turn the fan off when air pump has cool down. Put the thermostat probe on the air pump so when it reaches around 105 degrees the fan kicks on cool it down to 75 degrees. It takes 15 minutes for the air pump to reach 105 degrees when the fan is off . Thank you for showing me the pump on your Channel and testing it. Also thank you for the information you just sent me electricity use. James From Warren ,Michigan
@@jamesw4912 no problem, you can run so many tanks with this thing it's awesome. I have wanted to change to a Jehmco, but I really don't need to, so why spend the money. I will wait for this thing to either die or until it can't keep up with the fish room. Glad of being there for you and glad you are not disappointed in the decision.

Great advice, I was thinking about finishing the loop, but didn't think it would make that much difference. Will definitely finish off the loop now.

Good to see your update! I didn't see it till after I joined you at Twitter
Always good to find out what is worth the money and effort nowadays..
great review my broski 👍🏻
Thanks brotha.

Thank you, I wonder if there are replacement parts for these, I've never looked it up, but I would assume you could fix that pump. Just a thought.

experienced and professional, thanks a lot.
VIVOSUN thank you, I like letting people know when I find a nice product like this one.

Excellent man, thanks for the suggestion for sure, will try it to see if it works for me. Thank you again.
Say, it's not a fire hazard to put the teflon tape on the bearing?
@@NateK-MN do you cook with teflon coated pans?
Thanks for the video, I was looking at this pump today and debating the purchase. Guess it can handle my needs. Thanks again! And I subscribed

@@jamesb4039 ya, it's going in my basement fish room.
Great video 😎👊🏻
Thanks brotha
I have the 50W running nonstop 2 years its a wonderful powerful pump but the noise is ridiculous adding a cooling fan is a great idea
20 tanks works with it that's great
I thought so as well, I will be finishing up the closed loop for it, see what that does for it.
Awesome Video Thanks for Sharing FishFam NJAE19
Thanks brotha.
Any time no Problem!!!
I have the same pump. My only issue isn't the sound, its the vibration it causes. I have a down stairs neighbor who doesn't need to be slowly driven crazy. lol
I made a stand for mine and it is suspended by a hook, so the vibration is kind of absorbed by the stand.
@@jamesb4039 I tried that too, that seems to be the best solution.
