Because nowadays we have different standards than back in Pryor times and there is nothing wrong with playing it modern as long as its not shitty performance. Ofc Alessi is now a go to but I would argue this guy didnt not copy him. I hear how he was inspired by Alessi but wouldnt call that a copy. Especially since it was very good performance.
