wtf man? this is frigging beautiful. I wouldn't ever do something like that, cause a 150 euro laptop is like 1000times better, but your design, craftsmanship, and end result is just astonishing. the first cyberdeck that is really in a list of WANNAHAVES! thanks for the video. enjoyed every moment of it.
You are delusional. You made something that took a bunch of time and money and it is worse than what you can buy and you are trying to cope hard. It is good you got some skills but that doesn't suddenly make it good when you have better alternatives. Stop lying to yourself and others.
@thomgizziz Ok please show us the cyber deck that we should like. If you cant show us then make one that is better than this. Two things you will never do XD
I have watched way too many cyberdeck builds over the last two years or so, but this is 100% my favourite in terms of design and video quality in itself, great work my guy!
Wow........ Just Wow. That's the most "Mass produced" looking Cyberdeck I've seen to date. By that I mean it looks like it should have came out of a box that has some big names logo's all over it, with moulded polystyrene blocks, a user guide, and a warrantee card ! It looks way too professional for anyone to suspect it's a homebrewed machine. The only trick you missed is with the visible brass block in the base. You should have made it look like a plaque by engraving something into it, like "Salim Cyberdeck. SN :- 00001".😁 Hat's off to you mate. You've obviously got a talent for complex 3D thinking.
By far my favorite version of the many cyberdeck videos I've seen. Space is well used, keyboard is as best as it can be considering the constraints, design is dope and blends well with the utility. Well done !
yea. I would absolutely pay laptop money for this. (I would burn my house to the ground if I tried to make one myself - and I've been diagnosed with terminal laziness)
@Litruv if you have a display controller, wouldnt it make more sense to make something to just switch the input to the display controller? like a built in kvm
Mindblowing... I love that you do not just an engineering part, but also the industrial design. Every project/video you post is super inspiring. Please continue making your content 🙏🏻
It's very impressive that you got all the I/O working without needing to design and order a new PCB revision :O That one missing wire for flashing or the DSI connection problem were incredibly minor and easily fixed. The project looks like it was professionally designed and manufactured by a company. Mad respect bro!!
Its insane how much thought and effort went into this thing. My jaw is still on the desk and i got 5 min left. edit: after seeing the final reveal: you won the cyberdeck trend. its yours
That things wicked. Been watching all kinds of these custom builds, and this is easily my favourite. The design is badass, looks like it's meant for the field. The tasteful touch with the purple on the bottom, with the touch of brass too.
I really like this design. It has all the elements of a good rabbit hole compilation. PCB manufacture, raspberry pi, Fusion 360, soldering, coding; you took every department of a manufacturing company and did them all yourself. Bravo dude.

You goated, dude
You are delusional. You made something that took a bunch of time and money and it is worse than what you can buy and you are trying to cope hard. It is good you got some skills but that doesn't suddenly make it good when you have better alternatives. Stop lying to yourself and others.
@thomgizziz You gotta calm down kid, maybe build something you could be proud of 👍🏻
Holy cow the thumbnail wasn't a bait and switch. This cyberdeck is clean af.
i thought same hes goated
@Muspellheimrr Why are you trying to take away from this guys accomplishment? Go make your own video Mr. No Content.
It is not. It is rather clunky.
@thomgizziz Ok please show us the cyber deck that we should like. If you cant show us then make one that is better than this.
Two things you will never do XD
welcome to the channel, the thumbnail is never anything short of what you will see and it is amazing.
I have watched way too many cyberdeck builds over the last two years or so, but this is 100% my favourite in terms of design and video quality in itself, great work my guy!
Cool, did you make a playlist?
@willkrummeck Wait that's actually a really cool idea, will update if I ever do create one
This is ridiculous on all accounts. Huge respect!
That is an insane amount of sustained effort to put into a project, I'm really impressed!
We live in a world where one guy can make a fully working electronic product from scratch. Amazing!!
12:55 rare Nerdforge cameo!
Wow........ Just Wow.

you absolute madman, this is amazing
That is industrial level product. Design, assembly, everything.
Amazing channel - a content producer that actually uses his studio to produce rather than videos about building his studio.
Nice job, choom.
We are getting closer to the cyberpunk era.
Beautiful machine! Massive respect!
Dude, this is insane. You are way better at PCB design than you give yourself credit for.
25:02 it may be the longest project, but it was certainly well worth it imho
Dude is 3 continants, from design, manufacturing, and assembley in just one lab. Amazing project!
Really love the design and the end result is amazing
kinda want to buy this! looks dope, awesome work!
yea. I would absolutely pay laptop money for this. (I would burn my house to the ground if I tried to make one myself - and I've been diagnosed with terminal laziness)
Same, would buy as well.
Absolute mad respect for the insane hard work shown here!
HDMI input would be nice, so you can connect to server and see whats happening on CM Deck screen
implemented with like a HDMI->USB capture stick kinda thing?
@LitruvYeah
@Litruv if you have a display controller, wouldnt it make more sense to make something to just switch the input to the display controller? like a built in kvm
and/or detachable screen (with some specialty connector for the flat cables) so you can use the keyboard-trackpad standalone
Simplest solution would be to use an hdmi display and implement a hdmi multiplexer with cm and external signal as inputs.
Man what a skill to pull this off 👏
01:00 hinges for the Framework Laptop are available as spare parts if anyone needs something purpose-built and low profile.
Thanks!
Amazing engineering. Well done
This is the best way to use the title" (From Scratch)". This guy almost made his own pcb materials.
Mindblowing... I love that you do not just an engineering part, but also the industrial design. Every project/video you post is super inspiring. Please continue making your content 🙏🏻

The best cyberdeck I've ever seen! You're the best, Sir!
Its insane how much thought and effort went into this thing. My jaw is still on the desk and i got 5 min left.
edit: after seeing the final reveal: you won the cyberdeck trend. its yours
Amazing work here, man. Love the design choices. Also, hell yeah Master Boot Record. 💀🖤🤖
I feel like you watched others make a cyberdeck of their own and thought to yourself: "I can do better". And that is how this came to be.
Having done work with CM5, this is massive undertaking, respect!
One video and I am already subscribed. Crazy build.
Absolute masterpiece! What a project!

I been looking at cyberdeck builds for years and this is next level 👀
I absolutely would love to have this in a kit form
I really like this design. It has all the elements of a good rabbit hole compilation. PCB manufacture, raspberry pi, Fusion 360, soldering, coding; you took every department of a manufacturing company and did them all yourself. Bravo dude.
Unbelievable. Very nice!!! You are a very smart man.
There are simply no words to describe how incredibly awesome this is.
