If you're on PlayStation you only jump it will equip and then press x so then your using a parachute

I was doing the assassination mission with Franklin and got a chute. Jumped off the building pressed the button but nothing. Had to do the whole darn mission again. In the end I used the elevator.

you press back on the controller and when the interactive menu comes up you can choose what color u want etc but the more you level up the more colors you get

Yeah it works but in single player it might not since you have to complete the flight school to have a chute every time you get into a flyable vehicle

Yeah my chute works fine on the flight lesson part...but on any mission or just free running throughout will equip it but does not open...
