We could see a bunch of guys doing the same thing in an apartment in the next block and they all left leaving one guy behind on his own. They also made History by being the only other Group next To The Byrds who had a Hit Record from a Bible Quote "From The Rivers Of Babylon". They also had "Ma Baker", "Rasputin" and their version of "Sunny" which is probably the most Covered One Hit Wonder Song of all time.
There was another song called Daddy Cool, in the UK charts, around the same time, by the UK band 'Darts', & it's also well worth a listen. It's in a retro Doo-wop style, and Darts were famous for having FOUR lead singers, & the best harmonies of any band of the time!!

This was almost a parody of disco. My mum loved them. I preferred the real thing. Donna Summer I feel love etc. Or the Bee Gees. Baccara 'yes sir I can boogie' is similar.
Grew up on this... awesome music, awesome moves. Still have memories of my father trying... agonizing, but I will cherish it forever :D

My mum used to like Boney M's By The Rivers of Babylon, that was until my dad kept playing the Barron Knights version...There's a Dentist in Birmingham. After that whenever the original was played, it was always sung with the Barron Knights words instead.
But my favourite Boney M song has always been the Christmas one, Mary's Boy Child.
