Alex realized after he beats Jiri for the second time his smurf contenders are gone, no more mickey mouse matchups. Thats why he wants to sit for 6 months until December, he either wants Magomed as inactive as possible or praying they make Magomed fight again and he breaks his leg headkick KO'ing Jamahal or Jan.
Alex has been waiting for Magomed, that Dagestani boy is ducking Alex. Tired of these guys wanting to fight for belts on their homesoil as contenders, Alex is the champion and the bigger name.

@@MillerDC sure, "Could Alex become the first Triple Champ" if Alex beats Jiri and beats Magomed later this year, hes gone through the best contenders and probably deserves a shot at HW. There are 3 possible outcomes of who he would be challenging at Heavyweight. Firstly, he beats Magomed, then goes up to face the Interim Champ Tom/Blaydes, and is in position as the Interim Champ to fight the winner of Jon vs Stipe, or become the Undisputed if they both retire.
Second possibility, maybe the winner of Stipe vs Jones retires, the Interim winner Tom/Blaydes is immediately considered the Undisputed Champion, and Pereira fights them after beating Magomed.
Third possibility, Jon/Stipe dont retire and the UFC want the Interim Champ Tom/Blaydes to fight Jon/Stipe in a Unification bout, so Alex defends the belt once more after Ankalaev (since Ankalaev would be later this year, Jon Stipe is later this year, so if he were to stay active whilst waiting for Jon/Stipe vs Tom/Blaydes Unification hed need another defense after Ankalaev). Then he goes up and challenges for the Undisputed Championship against the winner of the Unification bout between Jon/Stipe vs Interim champ Tom/Blaydes.
@@MillerDC could do a full video on Leon being underrated in the p4p & all time discussion. If he does beat Belal, he has many hyped contenders in his division, unlike many other champions. Shavkat is hyped, JDM is hyped, Ian Garry has some hype, if all of them can work up to a title shot and Leon beats all of them, I would argue hes in WW goat conversation and definitely in p4p #1 conversation if Islam doesnt come up and take the belt. Those are very solid names and would be better quality than any other welterweight champs legacy, Usman for sure, and GSP's. He wouldnt have the quantity of GSP but better quality. The guys in GSPs era were good but I think its fair to say the quality of the guys at the moment is a higher level.
