Thank you for this post . I'll probably need to add 2hrs or a total of 4 hrs with some prayers ( lol ) . Looking to start this job soon cuz paying $1600 for a spark plug change at a dealer despite their mark-ups is nuts.
Tried follow David's way , but didn't have any luck . Luckily , I had an angle plier which I got it to disconnect with ease. Just taking baby steps , next is to actually remove the first plug OR maybe next to remove that fan cover which looks like a pain to unscrew the two Philips screw. I'm going to have brush up on my Braille as the back 3 looks like hell to remove by touch .
Nice. Just get an angled screwdriver at harbor freight for like $3-4. Also when u screw them back don’t over tighten them. I screw one up so now that will be a PIA next time I change the screws
Thank you for making this video. I'm also changing the spark plug of my MDX17 and this helps.

Thank you!!! I did my 2014 in 55 minutes after watching your video.
Dang , it took me 20 minutes just to unplug the wire from the coil , then called it quits for a mental break ( lol) . Going to try again later .
Thank you! May do this in a week.
Glad it helped! Good time to do the serpentine belt and filters too.
@davidgascon9765 Do you also have a video for the serpentine belt?
@@mihaicara9228I have some photos I can throw into a short. The tensioning wheel is pretty stiff so you’ll definitely want a breaker bar.
Did you miss the other side?
Great video and instruction!
Well done.
TIP: to unplug the ignition coil, use a 90 degree precision pick tool. All pop off in seconds.

18 ft lbs is way too much for spark plugs. They should be 1/2 to 2/3 turn after they bottom out when you screw them in.
Per specifications it requires 22 Nm or 16 ft lbs.
Thanks.
