I love dragon nest, I recently tried to stream dragon nest to see if more people knew about it and played it, I uploaded videos to tiktok to see if they played it. I played the server sea, eu, private servers origin, infinity but they are not the same and the official server restricts the dungeons for BP, I wanted to create a clan but those restrictions do not allow, in the end I think I will wait for the successor that they are developing
I really liked the game but then they discontinued the EU version. I really hate it when the companies do that (Ragnarok Online 1&2 for example, Gravity really shafted us on this one).
There are lots of private servers out there with devs that care and update their servers frequently with new features There is Dragon Nest Origins for an oldschool experience with lots of QoL (Global) and also Project Duck, which focuses on completely new, fast paced gameplay (also Global) They have been around for many years and hopefully many more to come
I highly recommend Dragon Nest Origins for the OG experience! Great substitute for those wanting to go back to the old DN years. It's on 80 cap right now!
Same, but it was always pay to win since the start with the extra stat on every plate with the Final Damage multiplier (expensive as hell). Not sure how it's progressed since then.
When dragon nest level cap was 20, the PVP was incredibly deep and it had the most insane community. Once the game actually released and they raised the level cap, it was great for a while, but the depth of mastering the level 20 skillsets were not feasible as quickly new skills and level caps were growing. At some point maxing a Dragons Nest account to IDK level 80 was relatively easy to speedrun I really miss playing Acrobat back in like 2011-2012
played DN during OBT (2010 iirc), lost interest 8 years after due to how they do maintenance every tuesday. It was just redundant. And then it slowly had bots flood the servers, scandals among the GMs, etc. I surely LOVED the game though.
Yeah. I miss dragon nest. I even costume it while I was playing with my sando and slippers in the cafe. In every season, it was part of my prime. Valentines to Christmas and New Years eve, it was part of my life. I wish they develop it. I like the style of the game. I forgot the year but I played DN when it was first release in PH. It was its golden age. I could tell my son now how good the game was, the excitement and the rush. And the reason I'm in this channel watching now to see if it's still good in 2024. Because I miss this game. I want to play it again but afraid to waste my time if the game has no development.
i started playing it since it was launched up until 2016. it was fun until all my friends stops playing and leveling up is damn hard. im considering playing it again but unfortunately it lloks like the community is slowly dying. excitement isnt there anymore. though the memories with dragonnest is priceless.
i play dragon nest eu 1vs1 pvp 2011-2014 i pvp there like 10+ hours everyday for years was so freaking addicted and the pvp was unbelievably good, i would pay 10k for a remake with the exact same gameplay
I remember playing the eu version from 2013... good times. Sad some guys were bummed at the company and made years of progress be lost in the known "Data loss"..
"I don't know. Dragon Nest is still a fun game. It would be nice if it was redone or something, but the skills and combat are still unmatched. I would love it if people started playing again so the PvP would become active again. It's actually very playable if you ask me. Even with a VPN, I don't really experience lag on the NA server from the Netherlands. If you have a friends or some friends to play with, this game is actually still a lot of fun. If you don't have anyone to play with, you can always message me if you play on the NA server, and maybe we can start a guild or play together. In my opinion, you can have fun in every game that you like, even if it's 'dead'."
The question is, in the state the game is in, is it possible to solo play as a new player? The last time I played it was on the European server in 2015, it was impossible to finish instances like Sea Dragon, Black Dragon, Green Dragon and the like on your own, full party or an end game character, there was no other option, with so few people nowadays it seems to me that you need more than luck to form a party xD
I got back into it recently (SEA server) and I’ve been solo playing and beat the sea dragon today! I’ve been breezing through the main quests and dungeons like crazy. Not sure if I missed it when I was younger or if it was added but you get a ring that essentially makes you really powerful and level up like crazy somehow while progressing through the main quests (when the main quest was at lvl 40, I was already at lvl 80 and I ONLY was doing the main quests)
It seems you have a special place in your heart for Dragon Nest,to reviewing it every year! Hehehe As a dinosaur of the game (playing since 2010s beta up till now, been to official servers of KR-SEA-EU-NA and currently again on Korean),i.must say that DN is a game of staying by habit and for it's action gameplay. The NA server you chose to review in 2024 might not have been the best choice,I know that the server is almost dead,SEA and CHN servers has the most players,KR that I'm in can't say it's populated but it's hella packed with Chinese whale players(we talking about thousands of dollars spend per month in the game). Dragon Nest lost it's shine years ago but not cause the game is recycled, but devs lost their dedication to the fun and turned the game to be a cash milk fest update after update. I myself, still playing out of habit, not so much like years ago, just the usual 'log, check, see events,do dailies, logout'. Last but not least, don't take as measurement of players Steam or social, first of all,Dragon Nest was always heavily relying on their own launcher and second, you MUST dig in to check about private servers and their populations(some up to 2000 players even) ,due to the fact that as I said above, devs gone more aggressively with the p2w more and more...
I played dn again last year because i wanted to finally learn how to play silver hunter. it was worth it, her infinite air attack is too busted in pve to this day. The uniqueness combat of dn is what attracted me when i was a kid, that smooth fast pace action is just awesome. I hope wuthering waves will be able to replicate such combat
Man, i remember being extremely let down after finding out that my PC didn't have the requirements needed to run the game. They even had this thing where if you signed up early or something, they'd give you these exclusive white & black wings for your character. I ended up missing out on it entirely, just like vindictus. At least I was able to enjoy maplestory for many years until it went bad.
Dragon nest had such a big part of my teenage years. I still remember the first time I played and it was on CN version so I had to look for an English patcher LOL! Then global came and still played it a ton and met a lot of awesome players. Ive played quite a lot of mmos in the past, but this game is truly “THAT MMO” for me. Thank you for showing us this nostalgic game once again!!
Oh my god the nostalgia is so real I live in a family with 2 other siblings, im the youngest, I think I was around 7-12 more or less throughout the years we played. Yes WE the entire siblings played it and was so much fun
The problem with na server is that the low player rate make the server players actually mid/end game gear that compete for the events that have really good rewards, as for content they release big content like 1 of a year and i mean a raid dragon like the future new raid is the bone dragon, and for the rest of the year the have mid tier events that they rotate in the year with reward that help the players to get more op, 1 last thing the gear meta is like a shop lost of things you need to have to be number one. You can check the ranking on town with N
played it since 2013 - 2019/2020, forced to quit because DN sea was given back to eyedentity from cherrycredits and my country IP got banned after that.
DN SEA is still very active on Discord and in-game because people no-life the grind if they want to farm gold. Dragon Nest PvP was one of the best implementations of 1v1 in action MMOs; that's why they had esports tournaments for PvP before they ruined it with unbalanced things. PVE players are not getting better either; it should be cool to raid, but the equipment requirements for even clearing normal new raids are just ridiculous. I mean, you need to cap like 50 different equipment bits, and they are all mandatory, with more than half acquired from 'cash'. But I enjoy where DN is still at its peak and it's super fun.
I think I barely played a mobile version and it was pretty boring and I hate trying to move my character on mobile games cause they prefer to run in reverse than turn left or right for bends and splits in the paths
I miss this game so much, I was playing from Sea Dragon till a bit after 90 cap came out, so for years. Was raiding, always one of the first few groups to clear on NA, I loved this game so so much. Except I fell behind because I didnt want to spend money on cosmetics to get the insane boosts they were starting to give and pretty much stopped playing because most of my guild stopped and it just wasn't as fun as it was earlier in the game's life.
Started playing DN back in SEA, from 2011 to 2014. Party all day in the dungeons to get levels or Nests then pvp later, with friends or randos. Ladder comp off 1v1 PvP or group comp on PvP. Gimmick matches like the zombie PvP is also fun. Then I moved here in NA. Unfortunately, when I played in 2016 here, the game was already in its decline. PvE is still OK because I never missed a party, so leveling or nesting is easy and the trading house is alive. Sadly, PvP is dead. I think I only did 2-3 1v1 PvPs and then maybe 1 to 2 group PvPs only. Last time I played DN NA was back in 2018. Wish we would get DN 2 because DN's PvE and PvP are amazing. Probably one of if not the best out of all the MMOs that I played.
Dragon Nest were my childhood, played it back when i was in elementary school, it was a great experience, i played archer class at the time, still remember i named my character Hgut because i was fiddling around when i first played it. Last time i played was during the release of the cannon loli girl, played her class for a bit, and i pretty much enjoyed her. Goot times
10 years since DN gooding event.i walk through the empty streets trying to think of something else but my path always leads to dregen nest. i stare at the screen for hours and try to end the greediness. i play other asian MMOs but it is no good. i flame Addison Kang in his Facebook page and try to resist him but it is all meaningless. the end is near.i then usually watch some old DN vods and cry myself to sleep.
I use to play this a lot. Had a lot of friends because of this game and earn a lot because of RMT lol. I was an attendant at a friends internet cafe, almost having 3-5 hrs sleep everyday just to grind for gold and raids. This game still the best pvp hitbox imo.
Oh I missed Geraint~❤ I missed playing this game but yeah, just like a lot old player of DN, I will not think of returning the game in anytime in the future as I’ve been through the phase of P2W era in the game that totally outmatched in every PVP making the gameplay a little too hard to continue at that time but… looking back at it, it was indeed an enjoyable game and have its own charm and good music for a classic fantasy online games~~
Played the testing beta something version up to the green dragon boss. My character was the acrobat and despite getting kicked out parties most of the time on the latter nests,i loved the pvp aspect of the game
even now i never have seen fast phase but still seeingable battle like dragon nest, genshin, honkai, pgr, ag, pso are fine but not as fine as Dragonest gameplay that stuff really makes me want to back to 2014
Wow these were good times, back in 2020 I tried to get back but I noticed that the game couldn't handle my new monitor's resolution so I decided not to, was not willing to downgrade myself for it. But I had so much fun with this game and loved the mage specially with Japanese voice, omg I loved the spell incantations when using skills. But sadly like many games it got too pay to win so I decided to stop playing.
Does anyone know a gameplay video that isnt just someone yapping? Id like to see the gameplay/battle system of the game and this is the first video that shows on google.
Dragon Nest was really fun when I played it 6-7 years ago. The combat was fun. I got about 3/4 of the way to cap before I quit. It had a lot of potential, but the game was pretty dead. Just looked at Steam Charts and 5 people are playing and 15 in the last 24 hours. LMAO!
That's sad news, although not surprising anymore at this point. Dragon Nest was the game that got me into MMOs, played it for several years until it became so heavily p2w that it lost its original fun. EU servers ended up getting shut down some time after I stopped playing. The devs didn't care and still don't care enough to keep such a great game going on... met many people thanks to this game, some of which I've met IRL or still have contact with online. Great memories from DN but sad ending!
i love this so much when the game was still at lvl 30 something cap, everything was so crunchy and so satisfying until all class became wizards, no more wall combos, just spamming skills and blinding your monitor. we all quit just because of that, there is pay to win which is actually doesn't really bother us because we do pvp most of our play time( fyi: you can turn off your gear stats when pvp'ing) and thats it. the game was ruined.
can you give some games mmorpg like dragon nest ? im was so happy and having fun playing this before but when the game starts to become pay to win , my poor self cant follow up .
Dragon Nest was such a good Game... my issues with it always were that it got pretty grindy... pretty fast as F2P player. Which made it really difficult to play. But man, the Classes how they played, on that front Dragon Nest is top tier not only when it comes to MMO's but Games overall. So manny different Classes that all play so different and the Animations for the attacks are so dope. Like the Destroyer, such a dope ass class. Big AoE's, big Explosions just badass. I really wish someone would make a new Game like Dragon Nest, just with current technology in a similar art style and not P2W.
I agree dragon best is wonderful mmo, but it's not the prime of mmo I remember when my big brother buy ring for his girlfriend form Ragnarok and 10+ years later dragon nest released But now is easy to spending money to hard make money form game. Every MMORPG upcoming have 80% title Pay to Win or death game How many player can grinding item 6 hour a day, Like old era? I think not to much Because now is era for fast game and high intense My opinion, game just for fun but why I'm grinding 6 hour a day If i can buy whit my moneys, And why I'm spending time for walking around city or map, if I can have more fun more intense with PVP? I'm not hated the process, but I'm not have a time a day, a week, a month, just for finding 1 time show off this is my item with max upgrades For me, I need to work, having fun with my daughter my wife, my family my friend. Not game eat sleep repeat🔁 But different people different way~

Sad..🥲
Addison kang?
I use to play this a lot. Had a lot of friends because of this game and earn a lot because of RMT lol. I was an attendant at a friends internet cafe, almost having 3-5 hrs sleep everyday just to grind for gold and raids. This game still the best pvp hitbox imo.
Oh I missed Geraint~❤
I missed playing this game but yeah, just like a lot old player of DN, I will not think of returning the game in anytime in the future as I’ve been through the phase of P2W era in the game that totally outmatched in every PVP making the gameplay a little too hard to continue at that time but… looking back at it, it was indeed an enjoyable game and have its own charm and good music for a classic fantasy online games~~
Everyone misses how dragon nest used to be. Come play dragon nest origins! It’s not like how it is now pretty much a Time Machine back to the old days
I remember ditching class during college just to run raids. while eating my pancit canton.
if you think DragonNest is doing bad (in NA apparently). You should see how Rift is doing. It's very sad.
sea server still got many ppl playing 😂 many ppl play sea cause INA server is shutting down.. till now sea server is very active server 🤘
Played the testing beta something version up to the green dragon boss. My character was the acrobat and despite getting kicked out parties most of the time on the latter nests,i loved the pvp aspect of the game
I used to play when the level cap was 32 with only 3 classes, on Gpotato, God i miss this game. Good times. 😂
even now i never have seen fast phase but still seeingable battle like dragon nest, genshin, honkai, pgr, ag, pso are fine but not as fine as Dragonest gameplay that stuff really makes me want to back to 2014
0:43 dance start and he didn't even stop looking at her dancing
just like my reaction when the first time try kali class 🤣
One of my favorite pvp RPGMMO
Heck yeah!!
i miss my Gear Master 🥲
RIP :< what do you play now?
@@MMOByte following current hype.. Helldivers 2. For Democracy! 😂
Dragon nest is the best game I've ever played especially the PvP mode I've played the PvE for about 24 32 40 and 50 cap then I focused on PvP
Is there more players in the game, planning to play again. 😇
there are also new classes that are released multiple times already that u seem to purposely ignore
I suggest playing dragon nest origins the private server! Active server pretty much before things got crazy
Does anyone know a gameplay video that isnt just someone yapping? Id like to see the gameplay/battle system of the game and this is the first video that shows on google.
it was all fun and games until inflation rises up like crazy and sadly no GM are in check for that.
LMAO!
Try DN SEA sir
Really loved this game
That's sad news, although not surprising anymore at this point. Dragon Nest was the game that got me into MMOs, played it for several years until it became so heavily p2w that it lost its original fun. EU servers ended up getting shut down some time after I stopped playing. The devs didn't care and still don't care enough to keep such a great game going on... met many people thanks to this game, some of which I've met IRL or still have contact with online. Great memories from DN but sad ending!
i love this so much when the game was still at lvl 30 something cap, everything was so crunchy and so satisfying until all class became wizards, no more wall combos, just spamming skills and blinding your monitor. we all quit just because of that, there is pay to win which is actually doesn't really bother us because we do pvp most of our play time( fyi: you can turn off your gear stats when pvp'ing) and thats it. the game was ruined.
it sad when i was a middle schooler i dream to had pc to play it(i play it at internet cafe) and now i had job and decent pc but the game is dying
you guys should try ''Project Duck''. its basically a better version or revamp of dragon nest
can you give some games mmorpg like dragon nest ? im was so happy and having fun playing this before but when the game starts to become pay to win , my poor self cant follow up .
there anything new like this that's actually good?
they should just make a DN 2
Recycled Grindy Nest should be its new name in 2024
worst update/ game review ever!, no show of classes, no info on how many players so far no info for new players.
wasn't there a dragon nest that was 2D or some game very similar to it?
played 2014 here for nostalgia
just for people.
SEA had a full server last night. SEA isnt as dead
i think its impossible to a f2p catchup with mid game.
I agree dragon best is wonderful mmo, but it's not the prime of mmo
I remember when my big brother buy ring for his girlfriend form Ragnarok and 10+ years later dragon nest released
But now is easy to spending money to hard make money form game.
Every MMORPG upcoming have 80% title Pay to Win or death game
How many player can grinding item 6 hour a day, Like old era?
I think not to much
Because now is era for fast game and high intense
My opinion, game just for fun but why I'm grinding 6 hour a day If i can buy whit my moneys,
And why I'm spending time for walking around city or map, if I can have more fun more intense with PVP?
I'm not hated the process, but I'm not have a time a day, a week, a month, just for finding 1 time show off this is my item with max upgrades
For me, I need to work, having fun with my daughter my wife, my family my friend.
Not game eat sleep repeat🔁
But different people different way~
The game start dying when yahoo being remove from login method...
what if dragon nest graphics become genshin and then it can be ported to mobile as well
Wait ... I thought this game was gone forever?
I guess EU and NA can’t access it anymore players at Sea,Kr,China is still here tho😆sorry guys only if you can play SEA server this will overwhelm you
Aion2 mobile where are you?
Bloody loved this game. :D
Same here!
Dragon nest sea is still alive
i tought this was shut down a long time ago
