You’re acting like this whole thing isn’t just a joke and for Dana to watch people KO each other. Percentages weren’t high enough in UFC and matches take too long. Dana could have people slapping the sh*t out of each other like a mile away from his house. He loves it 😂

@@robertorr3271he didn't know at the time. The ref waited until after the 10 count to say it was a foul. If Bennett didn't get up then it mysteriously wouldn't have been a foul. Look at Forest Griffins face @ 6:59 then he instantly marches a clearly dazed Bennett back to the table, when have you ever seen that before? They've been told by Dana who to try and help win.
Rivero is smart. He knows his opponent has a huge reach so he bends forward when Bennett is gonna slap him, turning Bennett's advantage into disadvantage.
Yea he shouldn't be allowed to stand that way or everybody should be paying attention and following suit

Rivero every first slap foul, this is his gameplan, first slap so hard that his opponent is destroy for the rest of the match
This is the second match in a row that Russell fouls. Seems the only way he knows how to generate power. Since this is the second time now it seems to be his strategy to weaken his opponents jaw at the cost of a foul.
He is a d**khead, I so fu*king hate this guy, he really just wants the win, every slap has been a step from him which proves that he does take pride in knocking out a defenseless man with 100% of his power. The whole point of not clubbing and stepping is to reduce the total power the people can generate because it's really not that hard to KO somebody standing still.
I have this thought too, that it’s a strategy. Foul with stepping or clubbing to weaken the opponent, then legit go for the KO.
I’m not sure the answer. How do you peer into a fighters heart to figure out intent.
The celebration is ridiculous as to how much did the illegal strike contribute to the KO?
The clubbing rule is Fed up. In one fight the hand will strike a location on the face, no foul. Another fight striking the exact same location, clubbing foul. The rule is not clearly defined and there is no definitive way to identify it at the speed it happens. They need to have an official watching a monitor with a slow mo camera. Strike happens, official reviews it and makes the call.
i mean there is some manipluation going on. Look after the first slap how the two guys behind try to hold him up so it doesnt end in a disqalification.

Major bs going on. First off, that foul stepping 1st round takes almost all out of the opponent, then the last slap wasn't even to the face, was to top of the head/temple area.

There is a part in the video where it is showing a replay of the second Knockout, where it shows Rivero clearly stepped again when slapping, but it wasn't called. The Rules are a bit odd here, especially considering that Bear could have just intentionally stayed down after the first slap and won the match by way of Disqualification, but stayed in only to get fouled again and beaten. I wonder if there is a better alternative punishment for a stepping foul, like making them use the opposite hand perhaps?

Sure but the downside to that is, the athletes career gets cut down to the second or third time they get knocked out like that and can never never compete again. Thus killing the sport.

How is it a 5 inch reach advantage if they measure each shot and trade blows? Unless a longer arm generates more power? Surely 1 inch doesn't make much difference in that way.
I believe you can get more momentum with longer arms which would mean the ability to use more power?

They are playing favourites with Russel, there have been so many guys who have been released because they lost twice in a row, but when he lost his first two, he was called back and since has deliberately not been called for stepping except when it was against AyJay (who is an even bigger favourite of PS). This competition is crap when there's a fav involved.
