It's fine to have your favourites, even these guys clearly have. But I don't think you should show that in something as important as a camera comparison. He always says: it's still 3rd followed right after iPhone and Pixel 🤣 I still enjoy his videos a lot though.
@@strangebaaza yeah, also mrwhosetheboss as well is biased toward the iPhones in general (especially while comparing the video). The samsung takes much better videos than the iPhones at 4k30, but he only shows the 4k60 samples where the iphone is better.
The Z Fold 3's camera is literally previous-gen. But the shots still looked way, way better in many instances. Just goes to show how important the software and computation power are. Makes me excited for Google's Whitechapel SoC.

@@erickmazariegos5778 he is saying software is a big deal. Google was the company to successfully implement computational photography over hardware. Before them most companies focused on the sensor and software then came in secondary. With Google they basically focused entirely on software, using a more modest sensor (and outdated) yet delivering the best photography for years. Since then companies have caught up but he's curious to know what Google is going to do software wise with their semi-custom chip.
@Muhammad Ehtasam IIRC recent leaks don't have the RDNA2 being integrated with the S22's SoC. Think it got pushed back because Samsung isn't using the Exynos in the 22 (Aside from Korea) now due to chip shortages. Like the Fold it'll be qualcomm globally.
Also you are comparing phone from last year, with phones from 2021....small difference.

@@Kuba-ib7bd True, but S21 is also more than half an year old, uses 2020 tech. And when it released it was slightly worse than the 12 Pro Max in cameras, but nowadays it's much better. Samsung improved it A LOT with software updates. Why don't Apple do the same? They avoid improving camera software on already released phones to keep a big gap for the new iPhones, which is sad but oh well. The S21U is more than half an year old and just now is starting to have its camera at max potential. But now, all reviews of it are already out. RUclips and reviewers review the devices in week 1, so S21U got all the reviews when the software was brand new. Nowadays it's very good, but we only notice it when reviewers randomly pick it to compare to another thing, by accident. I'm glad samsung keeps improving the phones, and sad that reviewers just don't care after week 1
Apple manipulates consumers through marketing, trust me my old oneplus 7t pro blows the 12 pro max out of the water when it comes to camera, i was shocked
Yeah, I mean my iPhone SE 2020 takes decent pictures with a sorry camera. They're not as good as these pictures of course, but if you just went by the camera specs, you would think that it sucks when it doesn't.

No one said Samsung cameras suck … they only suck to kids who use Snapchat because Snapchat isn’t able to constantly program for all the varying android cameras and software , whereas it’s much easier for them to do it for apple as they rarely change by my much and there’s only one apple manufacturer , vs hundreds of android makers .
There's obviously a compromise. No 108mp mode, smaller sensor and worse night mode, no 3x or 10x optical zoom, etc. For general use it's fine, though.

@@nickmotsarsky4382 because on the fold you pay for the new revolutionary tech, it folds and has excellent screens with s pen support now. It's a compromise on cameras but better in other things, so it's still worth it. I think S21U is still the king of samsung cameras for now (more flexibility)
Dude super shocked, 😱 I just got my Z-fold 3 on Wednesday and was not expecting it to come out this good. I'm super happy so far with this purchase. I guess I can send my note 20 ultra off for the trade-in credit now 😅
I was hesitant about the Fold's camera. I already placed my order a couple days ago, but it still hasn't shipped. I was debating on canceling and getting the N20 ultra or the S21 ultra. This video and your comment gave me no regrets. I'm upgrading from the N10+
Tech tubers need more critism for just using specs as their review of a device and not actually doing the work.. After MKBHD said z fold 3 cameras aren't the best everyone just followed his coat tail without doing any ground work.. This video proves z fold 3 cameras are a beast.
I agree with you I do watch MKBHD's video but to me I rate him as a One Plus and Iphone lover. He even made a 40mins video just talking about IPHONE 12 line up. Thumbs up to unbiased
Great video, I really expected the S21 Ultra to walk away with it overall and the iPhone to win all the portrait shots, but the Fold was astounding at making up the difference in sensor hardware with the processing.
Esp considering Samsung said basically nothing about the camera. This was pretty shocking to see the iphone get taken apart so throughly. That said there are a few specific areas where the iphone is consistently better and it's almost like people that know that are able to take specific photos that show it in the lead.im now questioning all other reviewers camera tests.
The fact that there is this much debate really means that it doesn't matter for general use. Almost anyone would be happy with any of these. All take great pictures. It's amazing how far technology has come.
Yep, they’ve become so Samsung biased. Literally everything they say they love about an iPhone, now they hate it. It’s because of all the Samsung fans who have now come to the channel trashing them about how bad apple is. Now they ‘praise’ Samsung just to get there views/subscribers up.

You know, the thing I love about these camera comparisons, is that... It shows that between these three cameras, you honestly can't go wrong. One may look better when you're pixel peeping, and sitting them next to each other, but in a bubble, they all look amazing.
Well, good yes, but except portraits, iPhone turned out very bad in terms of general appeal, in comparison to Samsung's phones. In this price range, you want the best of the best, and that 12 pro max camera obviously isn't, so let's hope that 13 will do better.
I've been using the z fold 3 for almost eight months now and honestly, nobody is going to post 100x photos anywhere. Realistically,the fold 3's camera is all you need except the power users. I'm totally totally happy with my purchase
They all 3 love Apple but I also like the fact that their comparisons are all so fair, they dont fake their choice so Apple wins, they are fair and I love that
They used to be so biased about apple, but now it’s the other way around. Now they talk as if apple is the worst company to ever walk the earth just to keep Samsung fans happy. I’m sure loads of other OG fans can agree with me.

Even my almost 2 year old iPhone 11 Pro cant mess up photos like that, so you really think that an iPhone 12 Pro Max can mess up those shots that badly? I don’t care when Samsung wins, because they’ve done so much to get to this place now. But max tech are just making apple look like the worst company on earth whenever they mention Samsung phones.
This is a great comparison. I love that the subject in these images were actual things/situations that most would be taking pictures of. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I am waiting for my Fold3 to come in. I think the biggest take away here is that all of these devices take stellar images and we have come a long way in smartphone photography. I think the knee-jerk reaction when hearing that they were using the same hardware from the last gen Fold was that it was inferior and shouldn't be included in a flag ship device. As you all showed in this vid, there is much more to it than just spec sheets. How long was Google using the same hardware in their Pixel devices, and they had amazing images? Yes, it would be great to have the same hardware as the S21U, but the differences were slight between the 2. Great video, thanks.
I'm trading in my iphone 11 for a Z fold 3. Currently waiting on it to arrive, I'm looking forward to something fresh but don't know how things will be breaking my apple ecosystem apart. I have everything apple, but I got tired of the same design year after year with increasing prices.

The Fold is very impressive considering it just got released, meanwhile the 12 Pro Max and S21 Ultra have been around long enough to get several software updates to perfect their cameras. Fold is very, very tempting and this is coming from a 12 Pro Max user.

I got 12 for the S21 Ultra, 11 for the Z Fold3 and (most surprisingly) 7 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max (fun fact it's the same to Angelica's). Really interesting results. Thank you all for making these unbiased camera comparisons!!! I really appreciate it!
I had the s21 and currently have the z fold my wife has a pro max. She constantly tells me my photos are so much clearer. People are trippin when the say the cameras are bad.
This was an entertaining blind camera comparison ! I really like how Angelica seems a lot more comfortable now compared to when I first started watching these. She also seems to have a better ability to pick up on very small details in the pictures. Great vid guys!!
I was thrown off by all the buzz around the "but muh outdated flagship camera" complaining for the fold. A blind test is the best. This was great content thanks. I did mine slightly differently. Some I found to be almost a tie so I point scored them and tallied that up. These were my results. Scores. 3pts: win/best 2pts: neither win/lose/ or best/worst or tie 1pts: lose/worst 67pts - Galaxy S21 Ultra 58pts - Galaxy Z Fold 3 50pts - iPhone 12 Pro Max Stunned how trounced the iPhone got. I've always had a high opinion of its camera systems and prefer some of their aesthetics to the likes of Samsung whom I have used from the S6 (now on a 2yr old Note 10+ considering the Z Fold 3). I think they're all amazing camera's fair to say but I think these kind of benchmarks should be taken into account more often. Clearly there's some confirmatory bias going on, people seeing what they want to see. If more of these were done by many people you could aggregate the results and average them to make them more accurate.
Was not expecting that. Its interesting how much software has more to do than image resolution or lense quality. Appears the lenses are as good as you get across the board, nothing stood out and same with resolution but how the processing of the image was handled really is key on a cell phone vs. how a DSLR captures quality images lense first the resolution then processing (namely camera brand impacts this)
I was really wondering about the camera as the zfold 3 and S21 Ultra were my 2 choices. I love the fact you took those pictures in my hometown too! I knew exactly were you were visiting, beautiful place to visit. Thanks for helping me make my choice.

Max, long time subscriber here. The Flip 3 really changes smartphone photography. Tripod mode everywhere on earth. And you can film free-hand with Its rear camera (high quality) with a selfie screen. It's just amazing. Will you please review the Flip 3 and do a deep dive on creative ways of filming this phone can achieve? Thanks

Really a great comparison. I’m going to watch this again on a different device to see if the device these are viewed in changes any of my picks. I have a feeling checking them on a studio monitor would change at least some of the warmth is some of the photos. We shall see.
Is it relevant? How many pictures taken with a phone will ever be scrutinized on a studio monitor? You take pictures of memories with your phone, and later view them on a phone. Or maybe you will print them in the future, and paper has a LOT less color fidelity than a studio monitor.
Samsung has come a long way. People always said samsung is all hardware and iPhone is all software, but the tables has turned significantly. We all know the iphone 13 will have the lead up to February, that is when the samsung s22 Ultra will bring some surprises with sensor shift,one UI 4.0,android 12 and the crazy new 4 or 5nm processor as to compared what samsung currently has and still wins the competition.

The iPhone failing so hard on some of those portrait shots just makes me question where tf does Apple use the LiDAR sensor then, or it's just a very gimmicky thing. That was such a huge selling point for multiple focus distances on portraits at their event when they announced it 🤔 Even Tesla refuses to use LiDAR or even RADAR because elon says better AI is more important than LiDAR. Maybe he's right
Lidar is a good tool, but the AI is what really chooses what to put in the shot. So if you have a lidar sensor but shitty AI the lidar isn't helping you that much.

I went from a note10+ to an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I absolutely hate the camera on my iPhone. It crushes the blacks in every picture I take. I don’t take portraits that often so it’s a lose lose for me in the camera department. I will be back for the s22u or z fold4 next year (if no note 22u).
I like Apple. I love their software and I love my iPad Air 4 and my m1 mac book air. With this being said, Sammy has been pushing innovation ahead of apple for years and years and in my opinion they crush apple phones. I feel apple phones are left way behind in terms of innovation, features and style. I have apple friends that always revert back to synthetic bench marks, but real time performance is pretty much the same. I have an s20 ultra in my house. It is faster and cooler then my 11 pro max. I am constantly having overheating issues on my 11. Screen goes dim, the phone gets super hot and takes forever to charge. My 20 has zero of those issues. I am on my second 11 pro max too. I will be going to the s21 ultra and the new galaxy watch here shortly. I remember when apple pushed the envelope every release in terms of innovation, quality and features. The only thing I like my iPhone for is iOS. I love ios. I am not meaning this as an attack on people that use iPhones. I am just asking everyone to have an open mind when considering phones. For the longest time I was a pure apple fanboy until I had two fives meltdown on me literally. I loathe my apple phone hardware, but I love iOS. I loathe android and how messy it is, but I love Sammy hardware. It’s a terrible conundrum lol.
Z Fold 3 > 13 S21 Ultra > 12 12 Pro Max > 5 ...More or less, pretty much in the middle. It's funny because on other RUclips videos I much prefer the iPhone 12 Pro Max photos and videos too. Here we're testing photos from the rear cameras, and few selfies. Galaxies won this fun stretch. You guys are fun troopers, thanks for sharing with all of us. You're in my family book. 😎📷

You should rank each shot 1-3 instead of only choosing a winner for each shot. That's what I did and I got a different result personally. Best picture got a 3, worst picture got a 1. Phone with the highest total won the challenge. S21 - 1st iPhone 12 Pro Max - 2nd ZFold3 - 3rd Doing it this way, also rewards consistency.
The fact that z fold 3 with old gen cam set still competez with both so mucu that he sometimes does a better a better job show the power of software i mean just a remember that numbers aren't always the only criteria
Good job here guys and lady. I have been saying it that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 camera is comparable to the so called best for cell phone cameras. I am honestly disappointed on the knowledge of some RUclips reviewers. It seems their eagerness to churn out videos blinds the need for them to be objective and call a spade a spade.
Well, maybe they mistook one phone with another in th3ir shots.error happen...i would not put too much faith in this review even if i am pleased with the outcome. Would need to see the exif data of each pictures
Thanks for the informative video, spent last year with the S21Ultra and took a lot of photos. I have now switched to the Fold3. I can confirm all of your statements. The Ultra is great with the Tele. What was not mentioned is the 108MB camera on the S21 Ultra, which takes extremely good photos.
@Apple Genius This is tricky territory to be honest because of different launch cycles. The problem: when the iPhone 13 launches, the S21 is old and the S22 Ultra would be 3 months away so would have to test again then and then in 6-7 months the next Z flip/ fold would come out and then we have that the iPhone 14 will launch in 2 months.
@aestheticallysupreme. No, it counts. Just like it will when the 13 launches, the S21 series as well as Z series will go head to head with the 13. If there's a different victor, it'll count. If it stays the same, it also counts.
I did buy the iPhone 12 a month ago and actually not satisfied with their software processing(too much contrast, less detail in dark areas). Don’t know why reviewers have touted it so much!
I'm really surprised by this too, I use an S20 but had heard about how the S21 was just a minor upgrade and people have talked crazy good things about the newest iPhone camera system so I expected it to blow both Samsungs out of the water. I found myself usually favoring the S21 or Fold with the iPhone only in certain circumstances.
I have both a S20 Ultra and a S21 Ultra. The difference was very noticeable early on...the S20 Ultra has improved with updates to make it closer. However, the S21 Ultra kills it with the focusing close up, or further away. 3x-10x zoom, they both are fairly close...anything less, or more, is a huge wine for the S21 Ultra.
I love watching your video guys, I didn’t write down the scores but the Samsung gang definitely wins - I wish I bought the Z Fold but I was worried the camera would be a downgrade from the Note 20. However, seeing this and taking into consideration that the 5x zoom camera isn’t the best, I might have made a mistake. I have the note 20 and iPhone 12 pro max and when I did a bit of side by side photo testing in the park I found that I preferred every shot from the Samsung. Probably because they’re more saturated and my eyes love vibrant colors, which is one of the reasons why I find the iPhone screen so dull and I keep the Samsung on vibrant.

Most reviewers say it's a last gen camera, when it doesn't matter because the software and AI is just so much better now. Remember that pixel devices were always at the top at first while using the exact same lens for like 3 years in a row
Lol what happened to the iPhone 😂😂 The 15 Pro/Max is so good with dynamic range that I’m forgetting how bad previous generations were with dynamic range! Still iPhone takes great night shots imo, and always good day shots just not always best.
Not even the camera itself it seems. Since the Fold & 21U come really close to each other even if the latter is a fair bit better on paper. Definitely some crazy good software solution (AI?) going on there. 😶
You should throw some curve balls in there like take 3 pictures on the same phone and see if anyone notices. It’s all subjective at the end of the day, lots of detail doesn’t necessarily mean a great photo. Does it capture the moment? is the real question. Emphasis and emotion of the moment will be different for every scene. Fun to watch though
Big thank you to you guys for making this video and in such an unbiased format. I've looked at dozens of reviews trying to decide between the s21U or the zfold3. The only hang up I had was I was worried about the fold's camera since I take a ton of photos for personal and work use. This solidified my confidence in picking the Z Fold 3 👍🏻
@@rikifauzi3548 I did get the Fold 3. I love it so much! I really mean it when I say it's my favorite phone I've ever owned. It has plenty of growing pains to get used to like the awkward aspect ratio and re-adjusting how I use the apps. On the camera side of things, it's fantastic and does everything I need and more. I get compliments on the quality of my pictures and videos all the time. edit: I will say I hate the cases for it but it's definitely not a deal breaker for me.

I watched on other videos which mentioned that the Z Fold 3 camera can be on par with the Ultra (even better in certain conditions)... How about the typing & apps viewing experiences on the cover display?? (Actually today I'm planning to go to the store, & compare Fold 3 & 21 Ultra in in person once again, & purchase one of them)
@@rikifauzi3548 typing on the cover display can be a little bit of a task considering the narrow display but most of the time I do quick texts on the front but most of my long term use on the inner display.
This comparasion is punch on all those so (so called Tech Reviewers) who were criticising ZFold3 blindly.... without noticing reality👊👊👊 People say higher MP doesn't matter when it comes to iPhone but they expect more MP when it comes to other brands, like ZFold3. So dont underestimate ZFold by MP!😉

@@Kuba-ib7bd True, but S21 is also more than half an year old, uses 2020 tech. And when it released it was slightly worse than the 12 Pro Max in cameras, but nowadays it's much better. Samsung improved it A LOT with software updates. Why don't Apple do the same? They avoid improving camera software on already released phones to keep a big gap for the new iPhones, which is sad but oh well. The S21U is more than half an year old and just now is starting to have its camera at max potential. But now, all reviews of it are already out. RUclips and reviewers review the devices in week 1, so S21U got all the reviews when the software was brand new. Nowadays it's very good, but we only notice it when reviewers randomly pick it to compare to another thing, by accident. I'm glad samsung keeps improving the phones, and sad that reviewers just don't care after week 1

It's great, swapped from a note 20 U and feared the worst but it's a really solid cameras with some nice features using dual screens and auto framing

There's obviously a compromise. No 108mp mode, smaller sensor and worse night mode, no 3x or 10x optical zoom, etc. For general use it's fine, though.
@@nickmotsarsky4382 because on the fold you pay for the new revolutionary tech, it folds and has excellent screens with s pen support now. It's a compromise on cameras but better in other things, so it's still worth it. I think S21U is still the king of samsung cameras for now (more flexibility)

I was hesitant about the Fold's camera. I already placed my order a couple days ago, but it still hasn't shipped. I was debating on canceling and getting the N20 ultra or the S21 ultra. This video and your comment gave me no regrets. I'm upgrading from the N10+

Tech tubers need more critism for just using specs as their review of a device and not actually doing the work.. After MKBHD said z fold 3 cameras aren't the best everyone just followed his coat tail without doing any ground work.. This video proves z fold 3 cameras are a beast.

Great video, I really expected the S21 Ultra to walk away with it overall and the iPhone to win all the portrait shots, but the Fold was astounding at making up the difference in sensor hardware with the processing.
Esp considering Samsung said basically nothing about the camera. This was pretty shocking to see the iphone get taken apart so throughly. That said there are a few specific areas where the iphone is consistently better and it's almost like people that know that are able to take specific photos that show it in the lead.im now questioning all other reviewers camera tests.
The fact that there is this much debate really means that it doesn't matter for general use. Almost anyone would be happy with any of these. All take great pictures. It's amazing how far technology has come.

You know, the thing I love about these camera comparisons, is that... It shows that between these three cameras, you honestly can't go wrong. One may look better when you're pixel peeping, and sitting them next to each other, but in a bubble, they all look amazing.
Well, good yes, but except portraits, iPhone turned out very bad in terms of general appeal, in comparison to Samsung's phones. In this price range, you want the best of the best, and that 12 pro max camera obviously isn't, so let's hope that 13 will do better.

I've been using the z fold 3 for almost eight months now and honestly, nobody is going to post 100x photos anywhere. Realistically,the fold 3's camera is all you need except the power users. I'm totally totally happy with my purchase

This is a great comparison. I love that the subject in these images were actual things/situations that most would be taking pictures of. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I am waiting for my Fold3 to come in. I think the biggest take away here is that all of these devices take stellar images and we have come a long way in smartphone photography.
I think the knee-jerk reaction when hearing that they were using the same hardware from the last gen Fold was that it was inferior and shouldn't be included in a flag ship device. As you all showed in this vid, there is much more to it than just spec sheets. How long was Google using the same hardware in their Pixel devices, and they had amazing images? Yes, it would be great to have the same hardware as the S21U, but the differences were slight between the 2.

The Fold is very impressive considering it just got released, meanwhile the 12 Pro Max and S21 Ultra have been around long enough to get several software updates to perfect their cameras. Fold is very, very tempting and this is coming from a 12 Pro Max user.
The Fold 3 has identical cameras to a 2 year-old base S20. They know how to tune these cams well by now.

I personally liked the S21 Ultra processing. It was much closer to how natural Google Pixel image processing is.

I had the s21 and currently have the z fold my wife has a pro max. She constantly tells me my photos are so much clearer. People are trippin when the say the cameras are bad.

Stunned how trounced the iPhone got. I've always had a high opinion of its camera systems and prefer some of their aesthetics to the likes of Samsung whom I have used from the S6 (now on a 2yr old Note 10+ considering the Z Fold 3).
I think they're all amazing camera's fair to say but I think these kind of benchmarks should be taken into account more often. Clearly there's some confirmatory bias going on, people seeing what they want to see. If more of these were done by many people you could aggregate the results and average them to make them more accurate.
Was not expecting that. Its interesting how much software has more to do than image resolution or lense quality. Appears the lenses are as good as you get across the board, nothing stood out and same with resolution but how the processing of the image was handled really is key on a cell phone vs. how a DSLR captures quality images lense first the resolution then processing (namely camera brand impacts this)

Max, long time subscriber here. The Flip 3 really changes smartphone photography. Tripod mode everywhere on earth. And you can film free-hand with Its rear camera (high quality) with a selfie screen. It's just amazing. Will you please review the Flip 3 and do a deep dive on creative ways of filming this phone can achieve? Thanks

Is it relevant? How many pictures taken with a phone will ever be scrutinized on a studio monitor? You take pictures of memories with your phone, and later view them on a phone. Or maybe you will print them in the future, and paper has a LOT less color fidelity than a studio monitor.

Zfold got 14 for me, what has Samy done, really good cameras
Samsung has come a long way. People always said samsung is all hardware and iPhone is all software, but the tables has turned significantly. We all know the iphone 13 will have the lead up to February, that is when the samsung s22 Ultra will bring some surprises with sensor shift,one UI 4.0,android 12 and the crazy new 4 or 5nm processor as to compared what samsung currently has and still wins the competition.
The iPhone failing so hard on some of those portrait shots just makes me question where tf does Apple use the LiDAR sensor then, or it's just a very gimmicky thing. That was such a huge selling point for multiple focus distances on portraits at their event when they announced it 🤔
Even Tesla refuses to use LiDAR or even RADAR because elon says better AI is more important than LiDAR. Maybe he's right
Lidar is a good tool, but the AI is what really chooses what to put in the shot. So if you have a lidar sensor but shitty AI the lidar isn't helping you that much.

I went from a note10+ to an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I absolutely hate the camera on my iPhone. It crushes the blacks in every picture I take. I don’t take portraits that often so it’s a lose lose for me in the camera department. I will be back for the s22u or z fold4 next year (if no note 22u).
I like Apple. I love their software and I love my iPad Air 4 and my m1 mac book air. With this being said, Sammy has been pushing innovation ahead of apple for years and years and in my opinion they crush apple phones. I feel apple phones are left way behind in terms of innovation, features and style. I have apple friends that always revert back to synthetic bench marks, but real time performance is pretty much the same. I have an s20 ultra in my house. It is faster and cooler then my 11 pro max. I am constantly having overheating issues on my 11. Screen goes dim, the phone gets super hot and takes forever to charge. My 20 has zero of those issues. I am on my second 11 pro max too. I will be going to the s21 ultra and the new galaxy watch here shortly. I remember when apple pushed the envelope every release in terms of innovation, quality and features. The only thing I like my iPhone for is iOS. I love ios. I am not meaning this as an attack on people that use iPhones. I am just asking everyone to have an open mind when considering phones. For the longest time I was a pure apple fanboy until I had two fives meltdown on me literally.
I loathe my apple phone hardware, but I love iOS. I loathe android and how messy it is, but I love Sammy hardware. It’s a terrible conundrum lol.

You should rank each shot 1-3 instead of only choosing a winner for each shot. That's what I did and I got a different result personally.

Good job here guys and lady. I have been saying it that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 camera is comparable to the so called best for cell phone cameras. I am honestly disappointed on the knowledge of some RUclips reviewers. It seems their eagerness to churn out videos blinds the need for them to be objective and call a spade a spade.
Well, maybe they mistook one phone with another in th3ir shots.error happen...i would not put too much faith in this review even if i am pleased with the outcome.

Thanks for the informative video, spent last year with the S21Ultra and took a lot of photos. I have now switched to the Fold3. I can confirm all of your statements. The Ultra is great with the Tele. What was not mentioned is the 108MB camera on the S21 Ultra, which takes extremely good photos.
Getting my Fold 3 on 10th Sep. They even give me a 43inch UHD 4k 2021 8 series Samsung TV. With 1 of 3 accessories bonuses.
Gonna have to redo it with the next iPhone in a few weeks. 🤔

@Apple Genius This is tricky territory to be honest because of different launch cycles. The problem: when the iPhone 13 launches, the S21 is old and the S22 Ultra would be 3 months away so would have to test again then and then in 6-7 months the next Z flip/ fold would come out and then we have that the iPhone 14 will launch in 2 months.

I did buy the iPhone 12 a month ago and actually not satisfied with their software processing(too much contrast, less detail in dark areas). Don’t know why reviewers have touted it so much!
I'm really surprised by this too, I use an S20 but had heard about how the S21 was just a minor upgrade and people have talked crazy good things about the newest iPhone camera system so I expected it to blow both Samsungs out of the water. I found myself usually favoring the S21 or Fold with the iPhone only in certain circumstances.
I have both a S20 Ultra and a S21 Ultra. The difference was very noticeable early on...the S20 Ultra has improved with updates to make it closer. However, the S21 Ultra kills it with the focusing close up, or further away. 3x-10x zoom, they both are fairly close...anything less, or more, is a huge wine for the S21 Ultra.

I love watching your video guys, I didn’t write down the scores but the Samsung gang definitely wins - I wish I bought the Z Fold but I was worried the camera would be a downgrade from the Note 20. However, seeing this and taking into consideration that the 5x zoom camera isn’t the best, I might have made a mistake. I have the note 20 and iPhone 12 pro max and when I did a bit of side by side photo testing in the park I found that I preferred every shot from the Samsung. Probably because they’re more saturated and my eyes love vibrant colors, which is one of the reasons why I find the iPhone screen so dull and I keep the Samsung on vibrant.
Most reviewers say it's a last gen camera, when it doesn't matter because the software and AI is just so much better now. Remember that pixel devices were always at the top at first while using the exact same lens for like 3 years in a row

Not even the camera itself it seems. Since the Fold & 21U come really close to each other even if the latter is a fair bit better on paper. Definitely some crazy good software solution (AI?) going on there. 😶
Like this style of comparison, other reviewers automatically choose iphone because "it is an iphone" and uses the "it has natural color" reasoning.
You should throw some curve balls in there like take 3 pictures on the same phone and see if anyone notices. It’s all subjective at the end of the day, lots of detail doesn’t necessarily mean a great photo. Does it capture the moment? is the real question. Emphasis and emotion of the moment will be different for every scene. Fun to watch though

Big thank you to you guys for making this video and in such an unbiased format. I've looked at dozens of reviews trying to decide between the s21U or the zfold3. The only hang up I had was I was worried about the fold's camera since I take a ton of photos for personal and work use. This solidified my confidence in picking the Z Fold 3 👍🏻

@@rikifauzi3548 I did get the Fold 3. I love it so much! I really mean it when I say it's my favorite phone I've ever owned. It has plenty of growing pains to get used to like the awkward aspect ratio and re-adjusting how I use the apps. On the camera side of things, it's fantastic and does everything I need and more. I get compliments on the quality of my pictures and videos all the time.
edit: I will say I hate the cases for it but it's definitely not a deal breaker for me.

How about the typing & apps viewing experiences on the cover display??
(Actually today I'm planning to go to the store, & compare Fold 3 & 21 Ultra in in person once again, & purchase one of them)
@@rikifauzi3548 typing on the cover display can be a little bit of a task considering the narrow display but most of the time I do quick texts on the front but most of my long term use on the inner display.
