That's why in America we tell our kids they can do anything they put their mind to because as long as they believe that Anything is Possible and that they can do anyting they can't lose. My daughter (9 then) and I watched this together. As soon as she finished her song, I said to my daughter, "There's the winner. She will win." Grace has gone on to write and perform many originals that are as awesome as her first. I doubt she will ever achieve the popularity/fame of Taylor Swift, but that's not really her nature from what I can tell. But she will be a successful artist for years to come.
She absolutely blew me away when I saw her on TV. This was so good and watching the show live It really took me by surprise. The song still holds up today.
