The chair thing is because someone on the DMC Reddit moded Vergils vine chair into a plastic chair and for some reason the meme spread like wildfire

It started from a video of someone using Vergil in the game, in a level outside a hotel(I think), the player try to destroy all the surrounding things that can be destroy, but due to a bug(I think), one chair can’t be cut no matter what attack was used. You can search up the video. The title of the video is ‘Vergil finds a true chair.’
Tbh I think the plastic chair makes it better, sure the vine one more fitting because of the tree and all that but for some reason the plastic chair just feels so...right. Not to mention the image of someone as powerful and monstrous as Vergil just casually sitting on a plastic chair on top of the tree just vibing is actually really amusing. If anything someone like Vergil sitting on a plain old plastic chair instead of some gaudy throne feels more like a flex than anything.
I think that its got to do something with the meme in which the chair doesn't budge in the middle of the storm

@@Airier It's also entirely busted, capable of nuking the hardest bosses on the hardest difficulty setting in seconds. It will require an obscene amount of orbs to do so, but by the time the player gets to that point, the orb stack will already be massive anyway (and otherwise useless, as the player would have bought everything significant by this time).
Further, it's believed the hat is also a bit of a meta joke from the developers in response to a leaked conference held by staff of Ninja Theory in regards to the DMC reboot roughly a decade ago. In said conference, there was a slide projector presentation claiming "old" Dante was lame (where he was poorly photoshopped in with Brokeback Mountain characters) and their reboot version was cool (depicting some edgy hooded teen sitting in a tire landfill).

The scarf is tied to the hat since in-game it consumes your Red Orbs to use a good deal of its abilities - the scarf gets shorter or longer depending on how many Red Orbs you have. Meme with Vergil and plastic chair started because in DMC you can break all kind of objects(mostly furniture) and there is one chair(among many simmilar chairs) that Vergil could not break so he desided to keep it.
The plastic chair meme started because there's a ton of boomer memes featuring Dante and Vergil. Usually depicted with sunglasses and White Monster lounging in a plastic chair to complete the boomer look.
Someone decided to mod the chair he creates on top of the tree into a plastic chair for the memes. Naturally that blew up so Maxor included it.

The "fast gor ila" and "DEVIL MAY CRY" part isn't modded. DMCV has a feature that when the characters meet up during missions you can see the way other players have played those missions and it shows those people's handles.
Not *have* played, that feature is in real time with other players doing the same mission as you at the same time. Best example of this is Mission 13 - Three Warriors, where three players as Nero, Dante and V share the same level without being separated like in earlier missions with Nero and V.

V's name has no meaning, it is just suppossed to be a reference to Vergil.
Trish is a demon who can use magic. She just made clothes for herself once she was awake again.
The Dante dance sequence is not modded in. Almost every Devil May Cry game has a scene that features some absolutley silly and ridiculous shit, because Dante is just the type of dude that would randomly have a dance montage. The entire reason they gave him a motorcycle as a weapon this game is because in a previous game he use a motorcycle like a weapon imitating Bruce Lee, also in the game prior to this (DMC4), Dante has a legit musical montage with one of his bosses because the boss was overly dramatic and Dante just felt like playing along. Honestly, if Devil May Cry didn't do silly shit like this, it wouldn't be nearly as beloved. Also the Hat is an actual weapon you can use, and it uses currency as your ammunition.
From what we know Dante pretty much knew that Urizen was Vergil after seeing him for the first time. The only ones who dont know are the people that never met Vergil... so the mystery is mainly kept for Nero as well as the audience that only started with Devil May Cry 4.
The plastic chair is modded in. Someone once made a mod that replaced Vergil's throne he made out of the roots of the Qliphort tree with a silly plastic chair, which then just became a huge meme.
The joke was that they got Al Capone for tax evasion.

"V" basically named himself, if you can call it that. It's just the initial letter of "Vergil" - close enough for Dante to understand what he means, but not really fully admitting to it.
"Urizen" on the other hand never calls himself by that name. Dante coined it and told everyone else that's what it was. He did so because V introduced him as "he is your reason" - meaning that this entity is the person that most shaped Dante and made him who he is: Vergil. Buuuut, like brothers are, he turned it into a nickname... "Your reason" -> "Urizen"

Yeah, I only ever near the first and fell off on the second because I had no idea what was going on (put the wrong disk in and ended up playing the game without context 😅).

About the hat, in DMC 3 there was a guitar as a weapon. You play on it and it damages enemies.
TLDR; the girl who makes new arms for Nero is the daughter of that amoral cult scientist from DMC4, AND the granddaughter of the woman who made Dante’s signature pistols. She’s a Dante fangirl, and she made the hat specifically for Dante to use. It’s apparently one of the most stupidly OP weapons in the game, and the cutscene for the hat was - rather than demonstrating it in battle like most of Dante’s new-weapon-cutscenes in the DMC games - a Michael Jackson dance number.🤣

Another thing. With the "cope and seeth" thing, 1.) I don't see what that has to do with being trans. 2.) I've actually had many trans people scream that at me just for asking a question, being mentally degraded after they very obviously harass me, or simply making a statement that had almost nothing to do with transitioning or trans people in general.
Al Capone was jailed for tax evasion, because he was too good at destroying evidence for him to be convicted of organized crime. Everyone knew he was a mob boss, but tax evasion was the only thing they had hard evidence of. All of his money came from organized crime, and that’s not particularly taxable.
The atheist thing is actually, I believe, from the whole bones that they say proves that humans evolved from apes which was dug up by Darwin. Darwin’s wife later said after his death that he and his colleagues made and planted those bones and they were not actual bones.

Btw, for the picture of that pitbull holding a cinderblock in it's mouth, if I'm not mistaken, the story goes like someone trained their dog to drop cinderblocks on trespassers. I can't confirm or deny if that is true or if it's just a dog being silly and the internet tacked the story on the pic, but knowing the world we exist in, it would not be the weirdest thing I've heard

You really must not be all that familiar of you think that dance sequence wasn't part of original game. You should look up some of sillier cutscenes from the series when you get the chance, they add a lot to both the tone and the characters and really help make DMC something truly special.

My first few impressions of the franchise was MaxOr's videocand that one long vergil combo video with Bury the light.
I was honestly disappointed Bury the light didn't actually played when we first saw Vergil. I think it's because the song is wasn't released just yet or was tied to the vergil pack. Anyway they scene was 100 times better with the music

Wasn't Devil May Cry 5 due to fact Dev!/ M@y Cry r3b00+. So in a way we owe it. Lol
Not really. The reboot only happened because Capcom at the time thought DMC4 should sell the same amount as Call of Duty and was shocked that it didn't.
They wanted this niche hack and slash game (a genre that was starting to fall off) that was up until that point, a Playstation exclusive, to sell as good as the most popular FPS on the market. And they didn't even let the dev team finish the game. Capcom wasn't very smart during that time.
If anything, DMC4SE is the one that kick started DMC5, as DMC4SE sold better than the reboot across the board. They basically held a popularity vote between the reboot and the original series and the original series won.

I will say this (and probably get plenty of hate for it). I genuinely liked the other DMC as much as the main series and wanted a sequel to that as well. If you don't like it, I understand, but I just personally thought that it was a good game and an interesting take on Dante's personality.

Dude, even as a 13 yo at that time, being the prime target audience for the "gritty edgy i'm so mature" reboot of devil may cry i found that dante absolutely ridiculos and insuferable, and this is coming from someone that liked characters like eren, levi and kirito.

soy is pretty easy to explain, it's a right wing, err, idea? it's conservative rhetoric about consuming too much soy making you effeminate or w/e, it's debunked BS, given that while soy does contain a form of estrogen, it's plant estrogen, which has no or negligible effects on humans.
and uuh, a "wojack" is like, used in memes a lot, there's various forms, but it's a drawing of a guy, usually with little hair, usually used ironically, or to imply the person being depicted as this drawing is in the wrong/dumb. a common one is a crying person, wearing a mask of a smug face. i believe one was used in the bit in the video talking about chads and virgins or w/e.

Taking Devil May Cry extremely seriously is a futility in of itself. While it does have some serious lore, it's also undercut by some ridiculous and stupid shit in other areas.
This is also the same mistake Ninja Theory had when they attempted to reboot the game. So far, it hasn't turned out well for them and pissed off both old and new fans.

Dark souls would actually be enjoyable if the player character could more faster even in heavy armor based on stats or if stats scaled actual performance up like in some immersive sims , and yeah modders are probably the only ones that could do that since from soft is a collection of hack incompetend devs that coast on good PR and fanaticbase that somehow convinced ppl that their bad third person diablo clones were something original and "difficult". While there are some amazing weapon mods like vergils chair as a weapon mod , the hat is not a mod.. it is a mistake tho. Cinderblock pitbull no, that was a real thing, that got popular for a short while. Al capone thing was that he finally got busted for taxes and nothing else.
