For Arma 3 specifically not that much. Can be helpful on very low-pop servers when FPS can get to around 100. But in full games even a beast machine will struggle to go much higher than 60. Arguably screen size is more important. It is very useful to be able to notice 2 pixels slightly moving to see a sniper in a window 300 meters away from you. I've achieved my first great results on a cheapest available 42 inch 1080p LG TV, which was around 120 centimeters away from my eyes. But generally for gaming I find high refresh rate monitors them very nice. I will not go back to 60 Hz. When I will be buying my next one, it will probably be a 4k 32 inch or bigger 144 Hz or higher display.
@@champdelta98 Try recording your game at 60 FPS or more and analyze your shots frame-by-frame. You can learn a lot from it. I, for example, often complain about hit detection or someone lagging, but when I check the video, turns out that I just missed all 10 shots.
5950x. Video editor fixed 60 FPS output makes it look a bit smoother than it is IRL. In full games with some explosions and smoke grenades I have drops below 30 and average between 40 and 50. The whole specs of my PC are in the description of this video: ruclips.net/video/7R-z2IbTHLo/видео.html
@@frels1337 because I prioritize visuals. Most settings are at Ultra, render distance is usually 1.5 - 2 km (since I often shoot back at snipers), I use 200% supersampling, so the game renders at 5120x2880 resolution. Also 5950x is not the best at single-threaded performance needed for Arma. And Arma 3 engine itself, as far as I understand, is significantly struggling to work efficiently in multiplayer with big amount of players in a small area, so the CPU can not be even fully utilized.
Pretty much everything on Ultra apart from the blurring effects which are off. I am going for the picture, not performance. I usually have 30-60 FPS during fighting in the city. With 4070ti you are pretty much guaranteed to be CPU-bottlenecked unless you play with 8K resolution.
@@igo9481 Yeah, I know. I've tried getting into Reforger multiple times. Did not find a game mode I liked. I love the engine tech improvement though. Can't wait for a proper Arma 4 with proper Arma amount of content. Any game mode/server recommendations for a KOTH fan? What I like in KOTH is relatively low cost of death, a very clear goal, games lasting around an hour or two with clear winning and losing teams, "gamified" stats with a leaderboard clearly showing how well you personally did.
Nicely video
katiba is secret weapon, shhh
Yeah, Katiba is great. But I did less than 30 kills with it in this video. Had to upgrade to SPAR-17 for better penetration.
Are high refresh rate monitors important?

@lowskillcamper thank you bro Because I'm using screen 75Hz right now, I can't shoot anyone in time. I aim but I can't hit anyone.

I like hc but the server is usually empty by the time I play.
Yeah, sadly Arma 3 KOTH is losing popularity. 4 years ago there were HC servers to chose from. Now there are 2 and one of them uses RHS.
