Bowser is smarter than people give him credit for. Sure, he's not the brightest, but combat-wise he's above-average. He prefers brute force, but can be strategic when he has to.

Nah. A Chain Chomp is likely City+ level for not being able to be harmed by Mario or Luigi in most games, who both have multiple City level calculations.
Eggman's army at best would be City+ level but even that's pushing it given most of his bots after the City level base form feat in Generations are easily defeated.

Depends. Both armies have their good, and their very ugly troops.
Just look at the motobugs and goombas. Bowser army has monsters that are litteraly invincible, but eggman has some of the best robots possible, with the likes of metal sonic.
This is actually a Melee I legitimately enjoyed. I didn't even care who won at the end. *This* is how you're supposed to do a fight scene. This like commemorates Bowser and Eggman, as they should be since they're big icons of their respective franchises. This fight gives them both the respect they deserve and an absolutely *awesome* fight to remember. I only wished you guys can handle all the other Melees with as much care as you did here. Good luck on your future videos. Simply amazing Melee. Kinda wished it was longer but that would only mean more work and all that jazz. A very nice touch to the whole SMBZ style.

I love Bowser. He's easily the coolest/funniest character in the Mario Series. Everyone else is either silent, boring, or cowardly. It takes a total badass to try and take over a kingdom, run your own kingdom, and raise a couple of kids as a single parent all at the same time.

No, it was the KO from Bowser Jr. fighting Mecha Sonic.
I figured this would be the result. Eggman's genius IQ is Betrayed by lack of enemy analysis. If he had analyzed just how physically strong bowser was, he wouldn't have gone with the mech type, instead opting for a hovercraft type. even then, bowser is almost as immortal as deadpool, most attacks are ineffective, and only really serve to tick him off. Even then, eggman's a yolk, Bowser's a chunk of steel. Bowser's actually a genius too, his temper just has hyper-priority.

I agree as well, Bowser is aslo a genius. And he's a powerhouse and takes hits like a tank. That and more, he earns the victory. While Eggman has IQ of 300, he underestimated Bowser`s strength and smarts.
Two things:

2. If Eggman is ever put into Smash, they should do something like this, kinda give him a (more human sized) mech and let him fight in it.

Especially his skins are just the other Koopalings what makes me ask: why are they trying to get in the fcking Koopalings nobody cared about? Eggman would be a much better char due to his Mechs and his Ultra-Smash could be an outrage of Perfect Metal Sonic. Nintendo had so many great Characters to choose from. And who do they choose? Bowser Jr., Duck Hunt and Pacman. Though i like at least Pacman's entrance theme. They should have get in Zero, Pheonix Wright or someone from Bravely Default (that's kinda the individual preference i think but hey, they could have let Ringabel or Tiz join, Ultra-Smash could be Bravely Second with a Special Attack that doesnt do that much damage BUT buffes the Char whilst playing "Love's Vagrant" or "That Person's Name Is".

And he wanted to build a theme park after he beat Sonic. Bowser ky survived a black holes due to the many inconsistencies in the Mario universe, meanwhile eggman is out here making black holes with his own weapons. Eggman also controls gods in almost every game (that he has to fight on his side) and eggman has also survived getting stuck at the end of time, falling from dangerous heights every game, the end of the world (Sonic 06) etc. And eggman's mech are way stronger than Bowser ever was, and I highly doubt Mario is over here breaking through metal easily. Eggman fights a god tier hedgehog on a daily basis who's able to smash through an army's without a sweat, eggman has legit captured Sonic before and has made plans that defeat him(Sonic adventure 2)

As much as I love the Doc, Bowser is a beast and actually has physical combat experience. And Eggman's machines have lost Sonic, a lightweight hedgehog with more speed and momentum over pure strength until he goes super. And Bowser is a powerhouse and VERY tenacious.
You guys should pick up SMBZ and finish it!

Bowser obviously wins. Dude has ruled the universe, (sometimes) survived being thrown into lava, and can even turn people into bricks. But he isn't that smart compared to eggman lol.
Obviously because the two of them come from the opposite side of the spectrum, literally, Bowser was made to give Mario an antagonist who he couldn’t outmuscle and had to outsmart while Eggman was made to give Sonic an antagonist he couldn’t outsmart and had to outmuscle instead.

This reminds me of one of my favourite things about Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Bowser didn't need some special weapon, or mcguffin or something to defeat the final boss... he just kept going, and wouldn't be stopped, and eventually proved himself to be the strongest.

Eggman in mid-air fires a set of rockets at Bowser who then catches them properly so that they don't blow up and says "Showtime!" before he redirects their trajectory toward Eggman and goes with them kamikaze style to prove that Eggman is no match for the formidable King Bowser! K.O.!

Hey guys, instead of making shoddy Death Battle knock-offs, why not actually make a series like SMBZ. Shame to see such talent go to waste on such an ill-conceived show.
There is someone on RUclips who is planning on bringing back the series in 2015. And in addition they managed to finish episode 9, with the same kind of animation you'd expect from Alvin Earthworm himself.

6434Goku Even Alvins work could be improved upon, the skys the limit...one example is the shell bowser was playing with. Created some nice badass tension with the lil shell points from him squeezing it in the end..genius, little details like that...also i think it should be a movie and not progressed by the space bar, the space bar creates a version of a pause button, and an interesting feeling of control over a scene, but the animation has a little bit more freedom and consistent flow with no space bar progression

Bowser and Eggman teaming up, only for robotnik to betray king koopa in order to build Eggman land shows just how cunning he is, and shows just how far they both would go to defeat their nemeses. I also like how Eggman introduces his mech with its full name, and then says it’s for him only. That really fits his egotistical nature.

Tony Andre Karlsen Bowser, and Eggman, are in a video game, so they are susceptible it being Doctor Doomed. "Doctor Doomed" is a phenomenon where no matter how impressive their feats or power is they'll fail due to gameplay or ego reasons.
That same plumber can lift a castle, survive black holes, defeat gods, etc.

This result is pretty accurate. Also Mario would beat Sonic.
Imo mario and sonic counter eachother pretty well, fire flower to fire shield, power star to chaos emerald, frog suit to bubble shield, but theres no denying sonic is pretty weak in defense and power, but with nearly unmatchable speed, while mario is quickfooted and durable and powerful, and both dont fight with long term strategy in mind. I think mario would win because he seems to have a much larger arsenal of power ups that he has redily available, and just seems more durable and able to take way more hits
