I'm 21 weeks along and just loved this video. Probably the most of all the newborn essentials videos that I've watched. You really explained how the product is used, and I'm so overwhelmed by the idea of becoming a mom that your explanations helped me understand a little more of what I'm getting myself into. Also, your pleasant disposition made the video helped calm my anxieties a bit :) Finally, I'm an American expat living in Eastern Europe and all the baby essentials videos from American moms are so incredibly brand-focused (e.g., "I wouldn't have survived without this specific brand of xyz"). I don't have access to a lot of brands here so I appreciate that you recommended some useful ones but didn't make it sound like life or death haha. Thank you for the video!
New mom here pregnant with my first baby girl 💕 this was so helpful, also I’m American but my fiancé is from Birmingham, England , but has been in the states for 9 years :)
Oooh! That's where I'm from! Except I'm not, I'm from Dudley in the Black Country but if you tell him that, he'll understand why I say I'm from Birmingham :')
Thank you so much for posting this! I had a baby 2 years ago and I’ve forgotten everything I loved already🤣! I’m going to make a note of these ready for my second baby in February 😍
I found your vid randomly and then noticed you had an Isle of Wight necklace on. I’m from the island and can’t believe how random I just come across your video. Found this really helpful I’m due in May and am worried about what essentials I will need! X
Thank you for a lovely practical video. I have older children but the youngest of those is 12, and honestly ALL the products have basically changed! Everything I am seeing is more or less new to me with a very few exceptions and I needed a PRACTICAL, sensible review or five!
Ugh on the changing table. I was sure I wanted one with my first daughter, but every one was like "noooo, you don't need one. Just change her on the bed, in the crib on the floor, etc...." I just got sawed open to have this beautiful child....I don't want to bend over to change her. It hurts. Anyway, I was convinced that I didn't need one. While we made due for a while, I ended up getting a changing pad and putting it atop our dresser. I'm 100% getting a changing table though with this next baby. They're not necessary for some people, but they are for me.
Yeah cot bumpers are a big no no! You can see that they are deemed unsafe on the lullaby trust’ website. It’s always best going over there to see what is and isn’t safe as it’s nhs approved x
Yep cot bumpers are a big no. We have one in our cot purely for show 😂 the minute Caleah starts sleeping in there everything will be out :) like Chloe said definitely have a good look at safe sleep and what is recommended x
my son who is 5 hated swaddles he prefered the sleep suits ,great and informative video , we had a cot top changer

Nice one. Muslin and cheap?. I am.looking at wrong place. I am finding 3 squares for £7. Any recommendations?
I got a lot of mine from ASDA, Tescos etc in baby events. Also amazon and pat pat :)
Poonami! I'll have to use that one.
Heya all, I keep reading everywhere that cot bumpers and blankets in a cot are a big no no for breathing.? Xx

Hey! Thank you this is so helpful! I've got myself the elvie catch - do you recommend having the hakka suction pump as well?
100% I loooove the Hakka! I use it all the time, if im feeding from one side or pumping I will almost always have that on the other :)

What baby carrier did you decide to use in the end? There's so many choices and I'm torn as to which one to go for!
I have the baby Bjorn one! I got it second hand and its been a godsend!
I know this is an older video now, but for any new moms watching, hakaa now do a version that is like a cup now and can sit in your bra 😊
Just stick ur elbow in the water it tells u if right temp xx
