I love my country and our festival la but this was not Grenada's carnival this year. 2022 we had three Trinidadians band. 2023 we had trinidadian, Brazilian, Vincy, st. Lucians, Guyanese, Haitians, Dominicans, Bajqns, Jamaicans and most likely Belize bands. I know all this by their flags, their dress codes and their behaviour and racial mixtures. Grenada had very small bands and they were in whole suits. We always dress decently for carnivals. I thought all islands played their carnival this year! I did not see Grenadians having bands in any. Trini bands I know but this was a first for Grenadians, this is why we finished midnight in the dark.

Are we maroon, moors, Black Caribs, Creoles and Amerindians and native? I said they should come watch and enjoy the festival and not bring their own bands. Not come and be us. I don't want to drag this on but I am glad this is the last carnival for them to hijack in Grenada. This is why they came as bees and as a cloud upon us.
