This part of Zamboanga seems to be getting more progressive with beautiful resorts and restaurants. Once again, thanks for this awesome video. Looking forward for more.

Through this kind of vlogs/ adventures, I was able to see what's the life in the far flung areas in the Philippines. I was born in southern Luzon area but never got the chance to travel and explore our country. That's the beauty of being Filipino even life is hard all the time we still are able to wear a smile to show that we are happy and welcoming all the time. Thanks Kumander Daot.

The children at Galas School really warms my heart. The snakes in the payag look like they are used to human presence...maybe they don't feel threatened... unless you hurt them.
That sidequest at the barangay in the end becme the main one, Its so heartwarming that theyve welcomed you even though we know that theyre struggling there.
21:24 Spanish and American accounts used to talk in horror about villages in the Philippines being very close to crocodiles. They couldn't understand how people could live so close to them. Some crocodiles even had names to villagers. But this is because in older beliefs, crocodiles were regarded as ancestor spirits, hence why manong here remembers calling them "apo" ("respected elder"), in other regions they were called "nono" ("grandfather") and other similar names. In olden times, people believed that being taken by crocodiles was fate (gaba), due to something they did. But crocodiles that hurt people would be hunted. While those which left people alone were also left alone. They learned to live with humans. Sadly, that's not the case anymore since food sources for crocodiles are now scarce.
watching the sea snakes creep me out! I have seen one before swimming under the boat when I had island hopping in Samal island, but I never thought this how it looks like 😬
Was only able to watch a bit of intro. I am absolutely afraid of snakes. When I was young, my uncle died shortly after a venomous bite. He barely made it to our house (closest from his farm), completely incoherent… my mom got a kalesa to take them to the hospital. He passed on the way 😢
Question Anselm…with all the blackouts there, does anyone use solar panels with storage batteries? I’m building a small house there but doing it remotely and was wondering if were feasible…👍

deadliest snakes with no anti venom. But they are shy creatures they only swim around or away. I grow up with this in my place with coral reefs and in the rocky cliffs in the philippines. Deadly but gentle. They climbs boats yes they do 😂. One quality they have besides being shy is its a very curious. If they sense fish in the boat they will try to get on it. But they never try to bite humans. I think this snakes are one of the smart ones, they know whos prey and whos not. They use reserve the venom for prey or againts predator. They hunt eels too and other sea coral creatures.
