- Welcome to my new series “The Gentleman Journey”.
Back in the days the title “Gentleman” was only reserved for men with parents that were wealthy and from high social standing. But over the years this has changed and it became a compliment to describe a cultivated man with good manners, style, who has the respect and admiration from people around him.
In this quest to become a better man, I’m meeting professionals eager to share their knowledges and advices that might spark up our future conversations.
In this first episode of The Gentleman Journey, I’m meeting Brandon from “Gaute Bespoke” to learn what I should and should not do when buying and wearing a suit. From suit styles, colors, accessories, tailor made advantages, let’s suit up and bring our style to the next level !

我從小就很喜歡穿西裝，衣櫃裡有一半都是西裝、襯衫和領帶，在英國念書時，曾經擔任一間百年西裝訂製店的隨行翻譯，他們的客戶來自世界各國總統及皇室，當時讓我親眼見識到真正的紳士應該是要怎樣，也認識到許多西裝的文化和學問，西裝是男人的戰袍，穿上一套合適的西裝，能讓你更有自信、更有型，由外而內地變成一位舉手投足皆合宜的紳士。😎

Do you prefer ready to wear, mead-to-measure, or bespoke? Great topic as your first episode of Gentlemen Journey 👌🏻 It reminds me so much of my old job at a made-to-measure mens wear boutique❤️ Love all the proper suits, dress shirts, trousers , coats…those details and styles!
To be honest most of my suits and shirts are ready to wear, mostly because i really take care of my clothes and most of them were bought when I was still student.
I’m not a fan of fast fashion. And the more I got mature the more i understood that it’s better to have very few pieces but quality ones rather than a lot but that you can see on everyone.
I would definitely choose Bespoke over luxury brand.
Not everyone have model body type.
In Asia it’s hard for me to find a nice jacket fit, so choosing Bespoke is the way to go. And as you can see in the video, you have a service to allow you to make size adjustment.
I don’t like to wear like everyone else, so bespoke also allow you to make your clothes unique.

台灣人比較沒這麼重視看場合著裝
一方面我覺得是不重視藝術教育(美術課常常拿來考國英數)
另一方面 台灣沒有把"國際禮儀"放入必修課程
到了大學 有幸選修 才發現 DRESS CODE在國外是非常看重嚴肅的~
