      Believe me, this IS easy on him. The way he didn’t follow instructions during some of the training modules, especially during the course of fire on the range would’ve been a lot worse for an actual cop. Dude would’ve gotten kicked off the range and probably fired.

      @sam1bamslayer73 what they probably mean is that swat members train because it’s a part of their job compared to regular civilians who work out/go to gyms as a routine or hobby. Civilians are given the option to not go to the gym. But swat members have to because it’s needed in their job to stay fit and stay strong.

      Gym strength is for sudden burst of energy for a short duration. Gym tests your explosive strength. And these swat tests mainly test your endurance. Both are different and both have applications in the real world.

      Jesse basically did 2-3 months worth of Swat training in 50 hours. Rappeling, swimming test, rucking, running test, shooting test, clearing rooms etc. This all takes a couple weeks for trainees to acclimate and go through all the lessons but is fast tracked so everything can fit into one video

    Marine here always funny watching civilians particiapte in this type of training I give jessie props as normally candidates would train for years leading up to a SWAT course as these guys are no joke. They are 100 percent right that everything is in place for a reason the physical fitness stuff is always the easiest as you being in shape prior is in your "control" everything else is all mental.

      можно годами тренироваться - а потом навалить в штаны когда у тебя над головой выстрелят с пулемёта над головой боевыми патронами... с близкого расстояния. Можно быть сильным но получить паралич всех мышц при наведённом на тебя автомате.... Можно быть выносливым и задохнуться от страха при беге по минному полю к огневой точке противника с которой по тебе ведут прицельный огонь.... Без практического опыта в реальной боевой обстановке - все эти знания это иллюзия безопасности и готовности. Только реальный практический опыт может показать что ты можешь, а что ты НЕ можешь... реальной, там где не сдача экзамена это смерть курсанта....

    Brother, you have my respect. I always dreamed of entering a SWAT school, but in real life I would never have such abilities that the instructors have. They are great and almost superhuman, and the fact that you lasted 50 hours is something incredible. There is no doubt that in SWAT, only the best of the best pass.

    After watching so many videos of Magnus doing these kinds of things, this seems so simple in comparison and Magnus makes it look easy. It's nice to see a "normal" person trying these and see how hard it actually is.

      I thought the same thing. Magnus is always mildly sweaty and does all the things really well. This really gives a false impression. Really nice to see a normal Person struggle. But even Jesse is really sporty and trained. Can't imagine whata regular, not sporty person would look like in this test.

    As a Cop and as someone who has been through SWAT school, you have my respect. They went a little easy on you though. Or their SWAT school isn't as hard as the one I went through.       No it's not, unless you're joining Miami-Dade directly. throw that shit out of the window. Different jurisdictions, and departments mean- well a huge difference in training cirriculum. Every Depts SWAT academy is different. and that's AFTER you've been on the force doing PATROL long enough. these are VERY unrealistic expectations.

      @mac5894 Yeah I don't think people understand this concept. I wanted to be SWAT for a long time before I realized they aren't all built the same. A few city SWAT teams are awesome and get cool training, but most are underfunded and don't really get a whole lot. My local SWAT team only trains once a month, and the dude I spoke to didn't even look to be in that great of shape. No shade to him specifically, just the reality. Federal teams are a lot cooler. If I were to go SWAT, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a USMS team.

    36:27 reminds me of when I first got gassed in Basic Training back in 2019. We were prepped in two stages, first stage was expose you, and then the next room, was the more potent, and amplified room. My cuts from shaving, and my bald ass head from getting it cut by the barbers there at the PX were just on fire. In the 2nd stage, they had us wait by the exit, told us to be ready to remove our masks and sound out the soldier's creed. None of us could get past the first three words until we were all coughing our lungs out and our eyes were burning. Sure enough though, my sinuses were cleared that day.

      ​@nlrenzo9432 Dieting and just putting in effort man. I work out 2 hours a day minimum for 5 days a week and have been super strict with my diet. Just do workouts thats keep your heart rate up and dont consume more calories than you need to a day. I'm 6'3 220 and dont intake more than 1500 calories a day. Once Im at the weight I want to be at is when Ill start intaking more calories to maintain that weight. Make sure you get all the protein and other nutrients you body needs within that window. I would say dieting is the most important and hardest part to stick to but working out also helps to stay in shape and burn even more calories.

    Having a little experience with most of these things (to some degree) over 15 years in the Army, I can't imagine trying to do all of this in such a short period, with zero experience. lol We call it "crawl, walk, run" phases for training. You were capable of "crawl," but you were being tested for the "run" phase. Funny to watch, but it also hit me in the feels to remember what it's like to not know a damn thing about what I was doing in the beginning. All that said, your stamina is far better than mine is now, so you definitely crushed a lot of the physical aspects of this challenge. Nice work!
