Unsure why but every couple of months, i watch this entire series again just because i find it so fascinating to have such an extended and eventful road trip with an amazing car!
So excited for this series! Only 1 video in and we already have rain and an Alyssa sarcastically excited about supercharger facts face. :) And killer outro shots with the drone...that is going to add a ton to this series! Can’t wait for the next one!
YES! 2:18 I always said that every OOS road trip needs to start with Alyssa doing this! Very well edited video - mad props. Love all the tips too. Bleu looks like a lover and attention hound.
Loving this series. Wife and I are not able to road trip this summer due to age/health related Covid-19 concerns, but definitely enjoying your epic trip vicariously!
👍 All the tips and tricks great idea. Occasionally plug in overnight to an outlet at a campsite. That ought to blow a few minds. Aren't any campsites with a free gas pump. lol Take care guys!!!
Test drove a Model 3 Performance today! It was freakin incredible! Instant acceleration, so quiet and smooth, the handling was really direct and the screen was so responsive and high res and actually a lot smaller in person than on video, was a lot more proportionate to the dash than I thought. It was the best car I've ever driven! My next car will definitely be a standard range plus in white with white seats! :)
Best GRE you'll ever study for is learning production work for visuals then not being afraid at being picky over audio. Don't think "we're going on a road trip!" but instead "Road Trip; The Movie." Million dollar gear can be had for hundreds of bucks now so don't be afraid to gimbal up, do some panning, frame your shots, try silence, try some drama. Most of my inspiration comes from the crazy unicycle crowd at the moment as they bring you so close to the road while shooting you really get a feel for what's going on around them in the world of Highwaymen. Get to the folks place and start talking "post production editing." Whole new World out there today where cinematography is suddenly democratized. At what point "Road Trip!" becomes "Adventure" you want for your Patreons to wonder about. Be safe. Have fun. Create!
Some people have dogs that never need a leash. They stay close by and never wander too far. I have had several dogs and never have been that lucky. Always had to put them on a leash. I am always amazed when they listen and stay close. Guess my training skills were lacking something.
Thank you! I work hard on recall, especially with Bleu. I started his recall from week 8 to now, but he also naturally stays by. Now Ellie, she wanders (we don’t know what goes on inside her head) but for future videos when we get to national/state parks we are not going to break the rules, to insure preservation of the parks!
Great video as usual. We also travel from PA -> Naples. Consider RT 10 to 301 South to Ocala. Much better then going thru Orlando and S/Cjust outside of JAX on I-10 and one when you get back on 75 in Ocala.
Kyle, 2:30 Please look out for a bug with the rear vents that will blow heat instead of cool air. I had this happen several times on a road trip a couple weeks ago. My dog was panting in the back. And he is editing these while on the road!!!! This gives me the itch to do my own road-trip. I have two weeks off in beginning of December, was supposed to be on a cruise, and may do a roadtrip in the Tesla.
Man, you guys always make these videos interesting. Now that I have a Tesla Model Y, I might do some road trips myself. Not nearly as long as yours of course, but it seems fun in a Tesla!
I'm from Portugal and follow for some time your road trips. I too do a few road trips in Europe and have a channel about it. Next month, Germany and French Alps. Keep up the great work and stay safe
Another great road trip vlog!! I'm looking forward to my first road trip, from Austin to Indiana to visit family. I've learned a lot from watching your channel and not worried about it at all. Should be fun. Saw that you checked into the Little Rock supercharger the other day when I was planning my trip. I'll be hitting that one as well. Safe travels!!
Really enjoyed that and looking forward to future episodes. We live in the central Florida area and have been up/down I-95 twice in our MX to the DC area. Not sure when we will make another trip but looking forward to skipping Savannah, although the Starbucks in the airport is convenient and a beautiful walk/stretch while charging. BTW - The Deltona V3 is pretty new. We stopped there a few weeks back. I didn't need to charge but just wanted to check it out. Have a great trip and enjoy every minute!
When you cannonball like this first leg the dogs are not going to appreciate. About rain - I never saw a video made in Florida without at least some rain so you cannot blame Out of spec channel for rain on the trip. Have a nice trip further!
Finally, the videos have started! The spill-less dog bowl just blew my mind. I didn’t know that was a thing! Also, charging the Tesla in a lightning storm is pretty crazy haha.
@@OutofSpecMotoring Will you be passing through Salt Lake City, UT?! Ooh, I'm so excited! Also, the weather conditions that you faced at the Kingsland, GA supercharger make me resent the fact that Tesla removed the AM band from their car radio units in recent software updates. One of my favorite things to do during a thunderstorm like the one you were in is to listen to some of my local AM radio stations to hear the crackling of the lightning as the electrostatic discharges interfere with the AM radio signal. Frequencies where what used to have a station that has since gone off the air or that have low-power stations are ideal for listening to the crackling of a thunderstorm. One frequency in my area that used to have the NOAA Weather Radio station KEC78 on the AM dial was 760 kHz, and another in Salt Lake City that also became one of my favorites was Radio Disney affiliate KWDZ at 910 on the AM dial. Another station that I like to use is KSOP's AM station at 1370 on the AM dial. Stronger (and especially clear-channel, up to 50 kW) stations such as KALL at 700 on the AM dial and KSL at 1160 on the AM dial are not as ideal. What makes Tesla radio units the least favorable units to use is that their FM-only functionality means that FM is practically immune to interference by lightning, where the sound is modulated by tiny changes in frequency whereas sound over AM is modulated by ever so slightly amplifying the carrier. AM means also that an AM radio will also pick up those changes in amplitude, whether they come from a CFL light in your house or lightning.

White seats are amazing! We trash ours, they get muddy and nasty, and wipe right up with unscented baby wipes or for a deep clean every 6 months just warm water, dawn dish soap, and microfiber towels. Super easy!

Love watching your videos. I think you guys convinced me to make a tesla model 3 my next vehicle (although i'll still keep my 2019 mx5). I do have a question about the low SoC on these road trips.
