      It definitely is a different world out there compared to other parts of the country! Did you hunt public or private down there primarily?

    • @bboozie9225
      @bboozie9225 2 года назад

      @@HokeOutdoors I was fortunate enough to hunt private, but by the looks of it public seems just as good! Texas was the first time i truly seen thousands of ducks get up off the roost and it be a black cloud of ducks, truly a experience ill never forget

    i love how you love shovelers, here in stuttgart arkansas there the trashiest trash duck around, and we don’t have to try to decoy them they just come right in the hole before we ever see them flying. i didn’t know they were hard to decoy.

    • @HokeOutdoors

      Haha thanks man! It really seems like it's only the plumed out drakes that are hard to decoy in TX, the hens and ugly drakes just dump right in most of the time

    If you don't mind my asking, which public land property where you at? It's been about 20 years since I've been duck hunting am I seven year old has all of a sudden decided that we need to go. We went out and scouted Granger last weekend and saw absolutely nothing and could not find a good area approachable by land. Granted we didn't cover the entire hunting area. So if anybody has any suggestions for that area, I'm open to hearing them. We're not trying to limit out or take anybody's spot. Just a couple of birds to appease him and give him a taste figuratively and literally. Thanks in advance
