Thanks for the video. I learned a few things. I have the exact same car. 2010 Nismo in G41 magnetic black. Less miles, tho @56K. The guy I bought it from had it as a garage queen and didn’t daily drive it. I don’t think the 370Z Nismo is quiet with the stock exhaust! I live in CA and I’m not sure your exhaust changes would get through star smog checks. Things I changed: 1. The steering lock module for an updated one (about $80 online) that doesn’t lock the column and won’t leave you stranded. Interchange part number: 487089N00A. Yup, that happened to me. Nissan wouldn’t do it on recall or warranty. They quoted me $1500 to fix it. Uh, no. 2. Z1 Oil cooler (34 row Setrab, Thermo sandwich plate, protective hose wraps) $750. Took me most of a day to install. 3. Stillen Gen 3 long intakes. I clean & oil the filters about once a year. It’s a pita because you have to take the whole front clip off to get to the cones. 4. Z1 Nismo ‘09-14 Aluminum undershroud. About $370 right now in an Xmas sale. Absolutely *the best* thing I’ve added. Firms up the underside and may fix your drooping front lip. All the hardware is included, except for 3 rivnuts it uses factory mounting points. Recommended. 5. Just did a $1,000 full service at Nissan. Esther oil change, coolant flush, brakes, alignment, synchros, tranny & diff oil, blah blah blah. Everything basically. Drives like new. Things I need to do: 1. My fuel level is rarely showing full. Even when overfilled. Probably that sender you talked about. It doesn’t bother me, I just fill up way before empty. Better for the car too. 2. Never did the oil gallery gaskets, but I expect Nissan checked that as part of the 55,000 mile service. I’ll have to ask… 3. Z1 Rear hatch lift kit. I’ve bought one to install, but haven’t added it yet. 4. Z1 AMS 370Z Adjustable Short Throw shifter. Same, bought but yet to install. 5. Thinking of buying the Morimoto 370Z XB LED Tail Lights. All my lights are stock. If I ever do a video of my upgrades, I’ll let u know. Peace ✌🏽 Richard.
@@2shortmikey Just pull the fuse while the car still starts and it will avoid breaking down. The steering wheel wont lock anymore, but all the other security still works. Google is your friend for how to do it, fuse box is hidden near battery.
That's about 10k mi a year, fairly typical. How has oil consumption been? I'm guessing typical things had to be done to it by now or soon like timing chain and water pump? Tbh I'm not the biggest fan of vq exhaust noise, but I know the right exhaust setup can fix that. Fun cars tho, I rented a 370z earlier this year and enjoyed it a lot and would consider getting one in the future
HR-VHR VQ’s don’t really consume a lot of oil burning unless the pervious owners really didn’t take care of the car or you live in a hot area and always racing the car.. but besides that it’s very good on oil. If you do get a Z make sure to install oil cooler they run hot on oil out the dealer 😂. Yea the exhaust gets annoying sometimes but brings a lot of adrenaline and a feeling that can’t not be explained when your driving it!
I just got a 2017 with 56,000 kms.. I bought the car certified and I didn’t notice on my short test drive but I think the engine mounts need replacing and or maybe tranny mounts.. I guess this is a common issue with these because it looks like Z1 sells a ton of them. When I gear down and release the clutch it takes 2 seconds before it engages. When I press the gas there’s a delay in momentum and if I let off the gas my head jerks forward 1 second later.. other than this issue with my recent purchase I had a G35 and another 370z with 0 drivetrain issues, the Gs window was temperamental.
Bro i have a 350z rev up worse one with 230k miles still pulls strong. All i had to do was a clutch recently, water pump, starter, and battery. And i do not baby it, i beat on it like if it had 30k miles 😂😂😂
125k miles aint nothing for a VHR 💀

Thanks for sharing your journey of your car! Yes I need to do my gallery gasket job soon as well I’m not sure if it’s ever been done tbh 😂
