Topic: Now What? When the Hype is Over
So you've launched your startup, generated a sale, raised a funding round, hired your first employee. Now what? As entrepreneurs, we often fall victim to thinking, "if I just launch, win this competition, raise this round of funding, hire more people," all of my problems will go away. We forget that like in life, problems at a startup never go away, they just evolve to different types of problems as the company matures. Being an entrepreneur is an intellectual sport, and owning a company is a marathon, not a sprint. This means we need to pace ourselves because if we try to go too fast, we risk losing clarity, making unnecessary mistakes or worse we run out of gas.
