Wendy Freedman - The Expansion of our Universe

In this video series entitled "Conversations at Niels Bohr's Office" Johan Samsing from the Niels Bohr Institute presents conversations with some of the most influential physicists and thinkers of over time on topics related to the fundamental physics of our Universe.

Wendy Freedman is a Canadian-American astronomer, best known for her groundbreaking work on the Hubble constant. W. Freedman has been director of the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California, and Las Campanas, Chile, and now the John & Marion Sullivan University Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Chicago. W. Freedman has received numerous prizes, including the Gruber Cosmology Prize in 2009, and in 2016 the Dannie Heineman Prize for Astrophysics.
