I'm honestly excited about this 5KU build! Really reminds me of the time you did that as much as possible AIP build.
Waiting for your 5ku full build video. Hoping there is no fitment issues for the frame housing/sear/valve knocker/disconnector
For those of you that want to see a bunch of Dr Black builds, Art Custom GBB has been making a lot of them lately. ✌🙂
Would be good if they did separate trigger guards in the style of your red one on the table and maybe an old rounded 1911 style one.

Remember the Wellfire Hi capa that came with metal grips? Would be interesting to know if they are compatible with other frames, since they would make a good basis for milling custom designs.
You talking about the KJW clones? I remember those back in the day if that's what you are referring to, only worked on a local customer at HSP who needed help with it but do not own it, I was referring to Aftermarket grips not whole airsoft pistols as I doubt those wellfire ones are even aluminum in that time frame those came out and at the price point.

Is the mag release button/rod steel or aluminum? The KF grips had Aluminum release that wears out quite fast.
Alum, a majority of the alum grips come with alum release, very few actually came with steel ones.
It's too bad they don't do a black-gold. When it comes to these aluminum grips, from your experience, how compatible is it if you were to get another gold aftermarket magwell (E.g. A Cow Cow) and try to fit it onto the grip?
Where can I buy one of those 5ku grips? I've been out of the airsoft scene for a while, so I can't even remember where to buy parts anymore.
These were acquired from Sixmm but there are others you can grab from. Type in google 5ku hicapa grip. Should pop up others

Hi there.. loving this new 5ku stuff. I just got 5ku magazine plates for my shadow2 and they are awesome! My question is though about the 5ku grip and the magazine release. Can you (I don't mind how it looks) put for example AM steel magazine release to those new grips and does it work?
You can only put in alum grip magazine release in it. it looks like 5ku made a steel version of it as well. My AM worked in it, but only problem is mine is old. I do not know about current AM/GSB
I have a dr black 4.3 advanced frame and have a 5ku grip on the way ill keep you posted. thx knuckles for the content

Any chance you would be willing to sell the UAC milestone slide? or the older infinity slides? Not a fan on the new style slides with all the cut outs and stuff.
negative but I did see some older slides being redone on Alpha Airsoft, check them out in the next months or so
