I went through that crap not just in elementary school, middle school and high school but also in the workplace and I seriously hated it. Being a victim of these fuckers made me think of violence and I know it's sometimes necessary because if you think about it what are the choice do you have?

I was bullied in school by younger and older kids elementary through middle school mostly because my family moved to a different place & I had to ride the bus plus I am part Native American. My mom wouldn’t stop it (she was abusing me at home) so I started fighting back. After one particular morning bus ride to school, I was being called names, which had been going on for awhile, I snapped, turned around in my seat & punched her in the face bloodied her nose and made her cry. I got sent to the office, but I didn’t go! Lolz! I’m a grandmother now, decades later, one of the bullies has actually apologized to me for her bullying. Bullying is harassment and anyone going through it, my advice to you is stand up for yourself if no one else will.

If a child suffer depression and commit suicide as a result, the parents should be blame.
Most of us had to deal with some bullying, while in school and we cannot do anything about it, because if we do, we are the one that get in trouble. But, very rarely we would suffer depression, let along commit suicide. What that mean is, most of those who suffer depression and commit suicide as a result, are over emotional people. Most overly emotional people got one thing in common, spoil little princess type. Why people become spoil little princess type? Their parents spoiled them. Even if they don't suffer depression and commit suicide due to been bully, later when they grew up, they will still suffer depression and commit suicide over minor things e.g. their girlfriend (boyfriend) broke up with him and even if they don't suffer depression and commit suicide, little spoil princess type would be a menace to society, as an adult, these are type of people that become narcissist and narcissist are a burden to society, they are the type of people that can accidentally set a building on fire and think it is everybody elses' fault, because they didn't make sure, everything in the building is inflamable, before they enter (I should know, because my mum is a narcissist and I cannot stand her). Their parents should be blamed, because they are the one that spoil this kid and turn him (her) into an emotional fragile little spoil princess, should have send the kid to military school.

"Just ignore it," the teachers would say, "your reaction is what escalates that problem."
The reason bullies get away with it is because they say and do “little” things that, if spoken out about, would be deemed “not a big deal.”
But those “little things” are used against them, and if everyone else goes along with it, then the victim is helpless.

Brittany It would be nice if all bulling stopped but it is and has always been a part of life. Perhaps parents should better prepare their children to handle bulling instead of wishing and hoping millions of other people will just change their behavior. Stories likes this are tragic and a lot of them could have been prevented if these children had better life skills to overcome adolescent bullying.

I still know full well how to navigate technology. Also, my parents do not keep me in total isolation, i text whoever i want whenever, have my own phone without phone checks, and i can go out whenever i'd like as long as they know where....that is reasonable. I have plenty of friends, I don't need hundreds,my close group of best friends is enough.

She saw the note and was furious. She got teachers and principals fired, she talked to the 6 girl's parents and showed them the note. The trauma will always haunt me but all 6 girls eventually apologized after growing up. I hope the school and parents of the bullies understand bullying can cause trauma and damage.

If she saw her daughter changing. Attempted to talk to the school and didn't work
    1. Why didn't she change her daughters phone number to block any harassing messages?
    2. Why allow her daughter on social media at such young age? Restrict the quantity.
    3. Why not change schools or homeschool her until she feels SAFE again?
    4. Seek psychological help for her daughter before everything went down hill.
SO Manyyyy things you could dooooo..... But they kept going to the school instead of taking action themselves.

But the bullies would have just got away with it without suffering any consequences for their actions from the school or law enforcement and found a new victim I think that's why the parents seeked the schools help hoping they would do something about it. I do think schools need to take it a lot more seriously and the bully's should have to leave the school instead of the victim. It just very sad that this happened and is happening more regularly now to students.

Also what's to stop the bullies finding her on the street and starting in on her again, yes they could have done things differently, like gone to the school board, the newspapers, made complaints to police but hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it? I am not sure that parents are really aware of how pervasive cyber bullying is and just how much more damaging it is due to the relentless nature of it than it was in their day when social media didn't exist. I would suggest that social media companies become more robust in monotoring their sites after all they make billions and can't seem to understand that they are part of the problem

it always gets to me when I come across stories like this. I was bullied for most of my life both in school and online, I had anxiety and agoraphobia so I was considered "weird" because I was quiet, sat by myself often and got nervous alot, I also was chubby and eventually began to dress differently from the mainstream so those were two other things that made me get made fun of, I also had photos taken of me without my permission to get mocked over social media like this girl was. I did get depression and suicidal thoughts, so sad when I see the ones who did not survive. I am in my 20s now and have not been bullied in years but the memories of those times still haunt me...

Why are 12 year not with a parent or guardian of some sort. I don't think a 12 year old would be out with friends. Since they can't drive. They would be with friends at a house and I'm sure the people that own the house have a phone. There for it wouldn't be needed. I honestly could go without a phone. Texting wise I use Snapchat much more than texting. And I barely ever call unless it's to tell my mom if I'm doing something. My point is a 12 year old will never be in a situation where they need a phone. They can't drive so they won't be away from their parent. By the way I didn't get a phone till I was almost 16 and I only needed it so I could call someone to pick me up from soccer. Or school

How about parents start actually paying attention to what their children do on the internet? These parents clearly did a lot when it comes to what happened at school, but they said nothing about taking the girl's phone away, deleting her social media, or demanding their daughter to show them the messages and showing the school what was happening on social media. I feel horrible for this little girl. Not only because she was bullied at school by these other girls, but the fact that her parents seem so out of touch, they didn't even think about what was happening online.

I was bullied as well when I was 9-13. This is so sad, kids especially in middle school are rude. Glad I didn't had a phone back then. I'm pretty sure the teachers also knew what was happening but they never said anything. STAY STRONG TO ALL WHO'S GETTING BULLIED! You'll get through it and something great will come out from it! Teachers literally turned their backs while witnessing me being bullied. I was a white girl and I was a minority. All the bullying was race related. But it doesn't matter why what matters is I was bullied to the point of dropping out of high school. This was before social media I cant imagine how much worse it could've been.
