My son made day 2. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting new and old friends.
Ban Requiem, limit Engraver.
And limit tract
just ban Requiem so it discourages every build from splashing the engine into every deck
Link 1 in general should be trashed.
@jbone_malone And with it Cyber Dragon without that precious access to Clockwork Night through Clockwork Knight, not to mention the entire Marincess Deck ceases to exist. The Link-1 mechanic has been done correctly before, there's no such excuse to print minibosses on Link-1 cards.
Dweller spam is what hurt crystron. It's near impossible to play through dweller and pop spam

So the best deck with the best engine won. Yeah, no surprise there. That 1 maliss trying to hang on tho

I finished top 128 after Swiss, the maliss representation was insane. Honestly though FS Ryzeal felt completely fair
But remember guys maliss is the “problem” of the format. The deck that autoloses to multiple cards is the “problem”…
What cards does maliss lose to? Not Nib droll ultimate slayer ash imperm veiler which are the common played hand traps
They lose to lancea which is only sided against that deck
@ I mean if maliss doesn’t open doormouse then yes it does lose to nib. It can also lose an imperm if it doesn’t open up an extender like a bystial. And yes. They auto lose to lancea as well as sanctum that everyone is thrusting for in the side too. Not too mention cards like fuwa and meowls that maliss has to either play into or just skip turn
@ if a deck that can play through one ash or one nibiru is the definition of a problem deck then I guess ban most decks every format then.

Insta wins going first deck, that plays the most toxic ht, and losses to other toxic hts and you basically have non games, that deck is a big issue imo

On the one hand, Ryzeal Fiendsmith is interactive and doesn't feel oppressive. EDIT: I included the most popular variant of Ryzeal, which is Ryzeal Fiendsmith, even though it outnumbered the Mitsurugi variant. Spoiler: Both were strong.
On the other hand, Ryzeal Fiendsmith is a $1000+ deck and the Ryzeal variants had a 56% player representation in a YCS, when some consider 60+% rep. at a major tournament to be around tier 0. Yeah, I'm aware that the tier 0 label is contended; thanks for reading this far.
Real talk, imagine some 12 to 14-year-old watches the new Yugioh anime in April, and after being inspired, he decides he wants to try the TCG, and off he goes to buy the best deck and realises, wait, it costs over $1000? Yugioh is just going to lose young players to Pokemon or whatever, as they're far more affordable for younger players that want to buy tier 1 decks.
Btw tier 1 decks in Pokemon can cost around $75, like the 1st Place Champions League Osaka winning deck Archaludon Dialga.

tcg really needs to release some of those tactical try decks, and honestly they should probably be releasing worlds top 8 decks after like 6-12 months in the same style just so people can get into the actual game even if they aren't gonna be playing at a tier 0-1 level automatically
You are missing the Fiendsmith portion to these statistics and pure Ryzeal is not $1,000. You would not be seeing Pure Ryzeal at 56% - Fiendsmith is a colossal part of this winning deck strategy and these graphs do not do the event justice because they are missing exactly that piece.
@@DarkHalo003 I'm not missing anything, because I watched the YCS and I watched Ryzeal fiendsmith dominate the field. I assumed people knew what Ryzeal variant was the most dominant so I left it off, but no big deal, I'll add it to the OP. Btw, that deck does cost over $1000.
@ Sorry, I should have been more clear as well (by "you" I meant the graph only saying Ryzeal vs having a breakdown). There are a lot of people treating Fiedsmith Ryzeal as being equivalent to Pure Ryzeal, which is not accurate, so I felt the need to call that out. FS Ryzeal is the $1,000 deck because FS is still outrageously expensive.
Moon and Dweller got targets on there back, and Engraver probably to 1. Mitsurugi could have won but shows why you can't be so greedy. But Mitsurugi too bricky, so not shocked it couldn't finish, though glad Maliss showed it's teeth.

Moon is no longer a banlist choke point. It's ban Requiem or free Mermaid for the returning Orcusts.
@@autobotstarscream765 Requiem I think needs to go too but they either do heavy bans or beat around the bush,Engraver they need to reprint so if they want to clean things up maybe they will be correct and ban Requiem

Pretty sure ryzeal is dominating over maliss numbers wise is because of the skill ceiling difference
Sure. Summoning Detonator and just attaching 4-5 to just bomb everything is skillful 🙄 add the Fiendsmith/DDD combo that everyone knows is also so high of a ceiling. Maliss Gang 💅

A a former Memento player I couldn't be happier to choose ryzeal over maliss as my new deck mostly because it's easy to play. "High skill ceiling" is code for "easy to misplay" and/or "can't go second"

At least with this format you can INTERACT with the top decks and have some impact. Last format you couldn't
Both ryzeal and maliss will just get small hits like bonfire to one and dotscaper banned just because Konami wants that reprint value and then both decks will get massacred
People already cutting dotscaper anyways so

Not going away any time soon probably not till next year when they get the new most broken decks lol
Leave x alone and ban fiend Smith cards they are broken and dont need to be pay walled by 100+ a card

Every time I say, folks don't agree with me, but tournament conversion does agree with me; it's time to hit Ryzeal in the spring banlist. This Top 8 has 6 Ry / 2 Maliss where the previous YCS had 7 Ry / 1 Maliss in top 8. Ryzeal is sitting at ½-Tier now and it's disgusting.
It's more of the Fiendsmith engine that is a problem. Pure Ryzeal isn't that bad to play against.
Ryzeal is not the problem...YET. HUGE majority of the top decks runs the fiendsmith engine. Fiendsmith should of been hit last banlist already, but they want to sell stampede first.

They lock themselves into rank 4s so the deck does have a hard ceiling unlike maliss which can do whatever tf it wants
@ I agree. Its why I think they should hit the side engines people are running since the deck just came out. Hit the side engines first then the main engine so people aren't scared to invest into new decks.
@lord7635 the side engines are also taking lots of pie chart cuts, I am aware. The consistency checks on them need to happen for more decks to stand up in the room
