The server chassis I bought that's running the Vintage Story server can be found here: www.ebay.ca/itm/155607157265 I originally bought it to consolidate several smaller servers together onto one physical machine using Proxmox. With the upgrades I added, I found that I had a lot of extra resources available and decided to run my own Vintage Story server for this playthrough. We'll see how it works out.
I think the fire may be a server setting to help with *cough cough* accidentally burning down your friends house because "Everybody loves a bit of deforestation, with FIRE!" or for server stuff to ensure the server doesn't go plop because of "GOODBYE FOREST! HAVE YOUR FIRE! *insert maniacal laugh here*"
Love your content and am excited about the new 1.19 series. Every time I come back though I have to readjust to your audio and suggest looking up DeEsser filters to spare us poor headphone users. I hope with the new 1.19 mini dimensions feature they teased we will get *movable* trader wagons so we can refind the ones that spawn in crazy areas easier!
Starting fires is a server setting controlled by "/serverconfig allowfirespread on/off" but I just tried in a singleplayer world and it didn't work so I'm guessing it's a 1.19 bug related to the changes made to torches.
People tend to be turned off by the learning curve of this game. There's no shame in not wanting to play it, even though there's a lot of VS players that would say otherwise.
Oh, they watched you setting fires all over and changed something. j/k, you're probably right, server settings. Glad to see another Vintage Story playthrough. And is it just me, or has the game gotten a facelift?
You can add waypoints on the map pressing M. Not sure if thats not true on multiplayer, but it's very handy for marking resources and trader locations.
I did the same thing at my house with a cheap server. I didnt have any problems starting fires, but i also started my game single player and copied it to the server so it has single player settings.
I use my old PC as a server. It's a hassle to setup for every game with dedicated server support, but even in single-player it's worth it for performance.
Hate to sound like an idiot but is lighting a torch using a fire starter new in 1.19 or did I miss something since I was absent from the game for what feel likes a long time?
on da note of panning can be very relaxing and if y do it tru da night u get enough coppa to get urself started and don't waste night time ify do it in a safe place, also it would be nice to get a vanilla way of auto panning via mechanics or waterstreams, I remember sumkind of waterstream panning block in terrafirmacraft back inda day, I know thers a mod for this kinda thing but unless u change its config so uget was it 8 chances instead of just 1 per block...meh
I don't remember when I joined this channel but I know I was watching vintage and wanted to play it but then school hit and I like forgot about vintage because of my ADHD can someone tell me what I missed?
I think that next year if u ask a person that doesent use the internet wuold even know this it will be the next minecraft and dream will do it to 🕵🏻♀️
A silly default setting for a game that aims to be "realistic" to a fault. Accidental forest fires are a thing and can be started from just kids playing with matches.

What do u think of the hands and arms?
They're okay as long as they don't block my view.
I appreciate that your play has the game volume at a legit level, unlike many creators. The ambience and music always get me in this game.

Wtf did you just write
Ah, my favorite youtube series once again starts, thank you for filming this
So glad he explored with a GoPro on his head
Wow, you found a great balance between gameplay and interweaving key info!

I'll have to look up DeEsser later.
Great stuff, Can't wait to see the world burn!
Unfortunately it's looking to be a no fire playthrough.
Indeed, The lack of fire is disturbing @@darkmarine23

This game looks cool, but I don't know if I'd really like it at first...
> I mean there is a learning curve for every video game out there!

the in-game guide is awesome, you don't have to break immersion and look up the wiki for 90% of the mechanics
Playing without map... This is what block me to test the new "human challenge"...
Oh, they watched you setting fires all over and changed something. j/k, you're probably right, server settings. Glad to see another Vintage Story playthrough. And is it just me, or has the game gotten a facelift?
the lack of arson is affecting you directly
Vintage Story is probably what minecraft would be if Notch had kept working on it :)

Map and coordinates are disabled on Wilderness Survival settings.

Also, no fire would be a major sin. I burned many a forest omw to the resonance archives after watching your last series.
goats, the little black and white ones can be domesticated and milked like sheep
Wooohoo. Let''s go! :)
Let’s goooo
How come I only found about this NOW? Thanks to some random person on Reddit...

What pc specs do you recommend to play this game?

It seems like a great video
👍
I'm new to vintage story does the game auto update or do I handle that manually?
You can automatically update the game from the main menu if it detects a newer version available.
Cool Thanks!@@GGBeyond

wtf does panning mean?

You cannot set the world on fire anymore…. Unless it spreads from a pit kiln or campfire

@27:42 😨💩
