My mom also used to put those in my bag in case of an emergency before I had my first period. Usually the first period lasts shorter and u don’t get as much bleeding as you would maybe a few months later. (Plus they’re way more comfortable then pads especially if it’s your first time)

Roll on perfume (trust me you don’t want spray perfume cuz everyone will smell it right away and it can get strong) 7. Mini floss 8. Mini makeup (eyebrow gel, concealer, etc.) 9. Hand sanitizer (a MUST in your emergency kit AND pencil pouch) 10. Aquaphor cuz my lips get dry A LOT EDIT PEOPLE ATE TELLING ME TO ADD THNGS 11. Tampons/pads 12. Bandages 13. Any feminine care products you like to use regularly Like this if you just want more inspo and so I don’t loose this comment (im fr not trying to beg)
i would recommend putting some pads in there too! especially if her flow is heavy, or when she gets her period is heavy. liners don’t even work for my light flow! (btw, you are a great mom for making an emergency kit for her!❤)
I used pads exclusively for the first 3 years of my cycle and didn't move to pads until later. I only needed 1 or 2 a day, and this is an emergency kit so the daughter probably has her own supply as well.
in middle school if I had any of the problems you listed, my mom would tell me to just go get a drink of water from the community fountain. that would be her parenting for the year. She would go on a well deserved vacation afterwards bc of her hard efforts towards parenthood.

In school I always tried to be open and honest about periods. If I needed to take a period product to the bathroom, I did just that. I didn’t try to hide it away. Periods are normal and I want everyone to feel comfortable with them.
Be careful with the cough drops bc some schools qualify them as medication and if she gets caught with it without permission she could get into serious trouble
The Dove deodorant doesn’t work well. It doesn’t cover or stop the smell. No matter how much you put on the smell is still there and strong (depending on how strong your sent is). I prefer mini old spice deodorant because it keeps me smelling fresh unlike Dove.
In my school, we're not allowed to bring bags inside the bathroom, i got in trouble once because the rule was on and off, and one day, I walked in and the lady on bathroom duty wasn't paying attention and I walked in with my bookbag because I was on my period.

@EPIComi It gets worse. We only have 6 minutes to go to the bathroom during transition AFTER we've walked all the way across the school to our class. We used to not be allowed during class unless we were on block schedule (90-minute classes). They changed it later on in the school year, but if we go during class, we have to walk all the way to the cafeteria bathroom with only 2 stalls. And sometimes we have tardy sweeps which shorten the 7 minutes to 5 and anyone caught in the hallways after the bell rings goes to iss.
And I'm not a boy, but at one point, they closed the boys' bathrooms entirely because of one stupid person for like a month. And that's just in my freshman year of high school. In 8th grade, they took away one of the girls' bathroom breaks because someone smeared lip gloss on the walls, so that meant everyone had to be punished. And we weren't allowed to go during class, no exceptions, I had to go to the cafeteria (where my mom worked) just to use the bathroom

For me, at my middle school we have vape detectors in the bathrooms, but if you spray perfume or something chemically the detector goes off. This may not be the same for you just letting you know!❤️
For preteens it's a good idea to pack alcohol swabs (in the diabetic and first aid Section) to kill and remove odor causing bacteria before the deodorant ❤
For anyone thinking of making one of these, check the student handbook, first. In my district no student K-12 can have any kind of "medicinal" item on their person aside from megically necessary immediately necessary items (epi pen/glucose monitor/inhaler/etc), which require a doctor's note to confirm it's a real medical device/need. Cough drops/lozenges are great until they get confiscated, you have to spit it out, and you get disciplinary repercussions. (And before anyone comes at me, I never said this was an ideal way to enforce rules, only that it IS the rule in many places, so it's worth being aware of BEFORE you get in trouble for it)

Lanolin is really amazing for dry lips. It what I use and I am worryingly dehydrated. Most chaotic and lip balm companies make their products with drying agents to make you buy more. Lotion on the lips also works quite well, just make sure not to eat it.
I would recommend adding regular pads. Also i found it really useful having makeup wipes or micellar water and basic makeup like the elf lash and brow gel and some lipgloss

I recommend the sol de Janeiro jet sets. The fragrance mist will help after gym class or after recess and in general. The bum bum cream is amazing to moisturize your hands, just so you don’t have to put that big thing in it :)

for chapped lips, AQUAPHOR. It doesn’t feel as sticky and as thick as vaseline but it works the same. If she’s more of a sephora girl then summer fridays or laniege if she prefers vaseline over aquaphor

nivea chap stick is seriously one of the best options out there. its affordable, found at drug stores and works so well for me! i highly recommend.

I recommend the sol de Janeiro jet sets. The fragrance mist will help after gym class or after recess and in general. The bum bum cream is amazing to moisturize your hands, just so you don’t have to put that big thing in it :)

for chapped lips, AQUAPHOR. It doesn’t feel as sticky and as thick as vaseline but it works the same. If she’s more of a sephora girl then summer fridays or laniege if she prefers vaseline over aquaphor
