Metallica at Glastonbury. Never thought I'd see the day, but I think its about time a metal band played this primarily pop festival, and what better band to play first than METALlica! For some reason I really like this live version of the memory remains, never been big on the song before, but this live version has made me like it more, I love the groove of that main riff and I like how the crowd carries on the tune after the song ends. Bloody brilliant!!
I was as close as you could get to James and at the start when the crowd sang back to him he visibly relaxed. Bear in mind Glastonbury had long sold out before Metallica were announced as headliners. My favourite band at my favourite festival. It was truly special.
Awesome I was sick off people bitching about Metallica headlining Glastonbury because they are a metal band stop booking fucking pop acts they don't belong Beyoncé jay z lady gaga and the rest of the shite that's been booked over the years put me off when I first started going to Glastonbury there was no shit like that I remember rage against the machine dynamite set I remember a time when acts like Paul Weller, The Levellers & The Cure would headline TV was the worst thing that happened to Glastonbury
Ben go watch metallica live 1989 metallica live in seattle see how good a drummer lars was he been playing over 30 years and this set wasnt even metallicas faster songs

Metallica been around since the 80's and still kicking ass.
Ever since the first S&M album I lived this song more and more. Great live
One of the best Glastonbury performances of all time! I was in the crowd for this and it was a very special moment
Seeing these in August at reading. I will be like a 12 year old Japanese fan girl.
Tbf that ending was incredible, after all the people against them there was some true fans there but great set the whole show by Metallica!!!

3:18 absolutely epic.
Classic Lars, telling the crowd to slow down right at the end.

I feel so sad that James looks old :c Why people like him is getting older? :cc I want he will never get old! But he still rocks like before 20 years!

Quite probably the greatest metal band ever . Even when they"re old and look like shit Hett Kirk Lars and Rob play harder than most !
I love lars but he is rushing in this one which means he is not really dedicated anymore. I love the s&m version, so epic!
