So nice to see a piece of Australia in Sand Diego Zoo. Amazing species, the palm cockatoo is adorable 😍. Thank you for the beautiful video. Enjoyed and liked.
"So why does the Kookaburra sit in the old gum tree?" Well as an Aussie i can can tell you the answer. Merry, merry king of the bush is he... LOL All us Aussie kids grew up listening and singing that song in primary school :)
@@ZoosTravelers it's quite a classic old song for children first written in 1932. In recent years there was talk about changing some of the lyrics due to the nature of one of the words used in it. The lyrics are as follows; Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree; Merry, merry king of the bush is he; Laugh, kookaburra; laugh, kookaburra; Gay your life must be. The last line was the one which causes some controversy hence the talk about changing the lyrics to the song
One more thing I noticed, you mispronounced the Zoo in Sydney's name, Taronga is actually pronounced Tah-wrong-ahh😊 Lots of Aussie place names are quite difficult to pronounce for foreigners
Love the totum poles and the design for the Australian Outback of the San Diego Zoo. It would be nice to have it be a walk through. Much easier to see. The birds were absolutely gorgeous with such a variety of colors. Interesting info about the trees rarity. Like your Tasmanian Devil rendition. Love that you tell us all their names. The koalas are so cool. You give the best information. Little Poo is so cute. Glad that he was able to survive,
Glad you enjoyed the video! San Diego zoo has a fascinating history and lots of good stories there of the animals. I think koala bears are absolutely adorable (even if they are sleeping most of the time). Tasmanian devils are a animal I haven't encountered very often in zoos, they are also a fun animal to watch. Take care and stay safe!
Hi, loved the cinematic shots/Tasmanian Devil impression! Just a quick question, what is the name of the track that starts at 2:55? (When you are talking about the devils)

You forgot the naked nose wombat exhibit 3:15
the Naked nose wombat was not out on my visits back in 2021. I was hoping to spot them but I never did.
I really like it when the narration is discussing features of the exhibits in more of a tour format such as this one. Great job!
Thank you!

My favorite zoo! also, I love Koalas!
One of my favorites as well!
I hope I can see the wombats when I go.
Hopefully they will be out!
I too have seen people at the St. Louis Zoo make the Tasmanian Devil noises.
Funny!
@@ZoosTravelers one guy also said glass wasn't enough to contain it.
Geez, some of the conversations overheard at zoos are hilarious
@@ZoosTravelers I usually don't listen to other zoo visitors because most of it is whining children
I don't pay much attention, usually busy focusing on whatever I'm doing.
I love this zoo! When I went I never got to see the tazzy devils :( thanks for making this wonderful video!
Thank you for watching! Hopefully you can go back and see them one day! And I agree, I love the San Diego Zoo as well. It's such a beautiful place.
@@ZoosTravelers Overpriced but good
It would be nice if they took part in the AZA discounts. I just add it up as being like a theme park.
