very easy to forget how the "context" of a song can change with the way the percussion plays; when the drummer starts he plays in the way that it's "meant to be heard as", and then changes it up and makes the other instruments sound like they're accenting in different places
This broke RUclips.. counter is 1 billion views short! Thumb up counter only counts the thumbs once they are down again. 6102 people are still walking with their thumbs up!
Hi Josep Did the DVD release of this concert mentioned ever get released? I have seen the Terry Bozzio (2007) one here & there, but not this one. I'd love to see it if it's available :-)
Hi Josep. Thanks for uploading this video. I have been to the first show of this tour at Adams Drumworld, it was truly amazing. Is there any word on a release date of this DVD yet?
The way he played the bass really ruined it for me. I love this song to bits and his soft plucking just destroyed the magic of the bass part. It’s meant to be a crisp, punchy fingerstyle sound that gives harmonic and textural oomph to the piece. It’s a shame because I was loving the choice of xylophones for the counterpoint and the groovy addition of that triangle. The drumming was awesome as well.
That could be because the original part had 2 basses in mind playing the two lines, maybe doing them both on one instrument requires a lighter touch to even distinguish the rapid 8 th notes

サイモンとライヒは相性が良いですね。パットメセニーもそうだけどリズムにクセが無いからなのかな。各楽器にも言えるけど、一つ一つのドラムの音も凄く綺麗に響いてる気がします。
El espíritu de King Crimson sobrevolando....
