Not only does he make a lot of his own beats but he also directs most of his music videos. His most famous ones are actually the ones he directed. (He of course was inspired by Michael Jackson and Prince with that)
Ok last comment 💀 but I think there may be a few other chris brown songs you’ll like. People would just have to find the right ones. It seems you may enjoy more of his 2000s/early 2010s music.
@@gabrielmcdonnell8699 Me too, which is why I love his channel. I definitely understand why he isn’t CB fan, but I can’t help but to enjoy some of his songs. Songs like “ayo” are just too fun and catchy lol
6:22 To answer your question, “the class of R&B” was pushed to the back burner by hip hop, which in this new century, became the primary representation of black music. As a result, the likes of Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Ella Mai and Victoria Monet had to adapt their music utilizing trap/drill beats as well as be sexually explicit in order to compete with Drake and them. You’re an old soul, JJ. 👏🏾✌🏽And for the record, I share that as a soon-to-be 53 yr old, who’s a Breezy fan. 😎
He actually sampled freak me by silk. It's called sweet love. He also has another song called 2012 on the same album. On his new album he has a song called Feel Something. As far as "making love" goes I think you'd like those options, you should react to them.
It’s actually funny that you said this because people at this very moment are on twitter talking about how rnb was ruined because of these kind of songs and the vulgarity within it and chris brown is one of the people they’re blaming 💀 so if anything you’re in tune with everyone else
Yup. At 52 (almost 53), I explain this all the time to my friends and fam that are in my age group: R&B today leaves nothing to the imagination!! And THAT is how the *CURRENT* fans like it. 5:09 “All I wanna do is drink and #$&@, drink and #$&@“ - that’s how SOME Gen Z and Gen Alpha roll. They don’t want Babyface nor Stevie Wonder...✌🏽
@@gabrielmcdonnell8699 Exactly. I’m from Gen Z myself, and my generation definitely likes the vulgar, explicit music of today. That’s why people like sexy redd are so popular now. Me personally, I hate it. And I feel like it worsened, even from this era of Chris Brown. That’s why even tho I enjoy some of CB’s music, I mostly listen to old school and Im grateful that my parents raised me on it. It’s also why I enjoy JJ’s channel. Even tho he’s older than me, it’s refreshing to see another young person enjoy old school music just as much as I do.
And you’re definitely right. Even tho I do enjoy some of chris’s songs, modern r&b definitely lost the class and creativity that r&b had back then. Yes, old school r&b had sexual songs, but they talked about sexual topics in a creative way by using innuendos, metaphors, double entendres, and more creative devices that made the song sound genuine and classy. Nowadays everything is vulgar, explicit and distasteful.
100%. And to think that the likes of Luther RIP wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in music in 2024 is quite sad. But. It’s a Gen Z/Gen Aloha world and we’re just living in it. ✌🏽
@@gabrielmcdonnell8699 Its even worse living in the world of gen z when you’re from the generation. I’m always jealous that I didn’t get to grow up in the era of Luther and Stevie. It’s definitely a shame that music legends like them wouldn’t even be noticed if they came up in todays world of music.
@ those are good songs but we need him to react to the real Chris brown songs not the singles “Stuck on stupid” “Don’t Judge me” “Free run” “Party hard/Cadillac” “All back” “Up to you” “Fine china” “Time for love” “Residuals” “Delusional” “Moonlight” “Undecided” “Sweet love” The real classics

LOL Zero is one of my favorite CB songs
He also shot this music video at the same place Michael Jackson shot “thriller”
Look at the movie theater he danced in front of
The whole royalty album videos are a story

I think he’d like
Make love
Sleep at night
Ain’t no way and
Back to sleep
I’m impressed that for JJ’s young age that he marches to the beat of his own drum. 👏🏾 That said, I have a whole Breezy playlist; “Ayo” is my jam! 😎

There ara a couple CB songs he's liked but these current ones not so much obviously

I wouldn't know that I didn't like it if I never listened to it.
