To repair a crack in the ceiling, simply follow the different steps in our tutorial:
Step 1: open the crack by cutting around it using a cutter. Use the blade to scrape and remove the strip of coating along the entire length of the crack.
Step 2: Clean and prepare your support. Use a broom or brush to remove the dust. You can also use a damp sponge to thoroughly clean the area to be filled.
Step 3: apply the filler. Using a spatula, mix the coating. Take a quantity of coating using your spatula then distribute the product evenly over the surface to be filled using a smaller spatula. Once the coating has been applied, put the fibafuse fiberglass tape on it and smooth it well using your spatula then let it dry.
Step 4: The next step is to give the 2nd coat, smooth well using a wider spatula, covering a larger surface than the first, then let dry.
Step 5: Once the filler is dry, sand the area using an abrasive sheet or sandpaper. Be sure to choose a fine enough grit (180) so as not to damage the surface. Remove excess dust as before.
Well done ! Your ceiling is now repaired.
