I like Swerve and the match they had was great. I want to like this story but Mogul Affiliates have been fucked up from the start. Swerve got no reaction here. They had Rick Ross come on a show to "make history" debuting Mogul Affiliates as a faction with 2 nobodies. They've had virtually no follow up since then (if it was on rampage, that's even worse cuz not many watch that). Where are they now? They later said on tv that they're injured. You finally give him a match on TV and now his group has merged with another faction who are currently champions and 2/3 of the champions are missing too? Not to mention that Prince Nana "bought" the faction from Tully Blanchard after he left AEW. How many times is Tony gonna take the idea of 2 failing groups and merge them together? (Andrade Hardy Family Office, Hardy/Private Party & The Firm, and now this just to name 3) Or have one faction recruit members of another faction/fight for contracts to be let out of said factions. If yall actually took the time to read this, let me know if yall agree or if I'm just nitpicking.
Great analysis. TK does this a lot and many of these stables are really bad which makes it worse. Like merging 2 bad stables makes a worse stable or at least that's the feeling I get. The firm is horrible, the firm plus Hardy and private party is horrible, mogul aff had potential but the minute they had swerve with those 2 other guys it kind of ruined it, then merging them with an ROH group just screams a bit lazy last minute booking. And to be fair, I believe TK mentioned he collaborates with the wrestler on ideas but it needs to be pointed out when something is a bad idea
