If you have the lock upside down at least put some kind of weather tape to cover the element to get in. I have the same case and I love it. You might want to consider putting a shock/struts on it, I did mine and loved it.
A dessicant pack for a gun safe would keep condensation down. Murphy's law means you will need to open the case during a rain storm at some point, some water is bound to get in but the dessicant will grab any incidental water.
@@alpinetactics thanks! I just purchase a couple of the and the very first day in 30 degree Celsius weather the sides started to create a bit of a gap so the lid doesn’t sit flush anymore but it still opens and closes. Anyways seems like that’s the worst of it. Otherwise I’m quite happy with them.

I MADE A MISTAKE IN THE VIDEO! I kept calling them the V730's and they are actually the V700's ( amzn.to/40fvggr ) which are a tad smaller.

Did you have any problems with the case warping in extreme heat? If so did it warp enough to let in water when it rained? Thanks.
@@getbackoutdoors I didn’t have any problems like that but I really didn’t expose it to really extreme heat.

what roof rack(s) are you considering in the future? 12:23
Possibly Prinsu or Sherpa. Something low profile with a good wind fairing
@@alpinetactics will you have them do a cutout for your lightbar? or thinking of scraping that all together?
@@angell6425 I’m not sure I will for sure do it at all. But yeah I would have them do a cut out if I did
Until your kids leave the house, you will be on a budget! And then when they finally leave, they'll have kids... Lather, rinse, repeat.
