Like 83. Great place. Cool skills and knowledge you have! Too bad it was so hot. Awesome stuff, though. Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure - friend!
Thanks so much for checking out my channel, and for the kind words! Am subbed-up to you and enjoying your music immensely! Thanks again....I appreciate you! 🙏
Hey, thanks for checking in! And I get it: camping takes a lot of time. I get out there a lot, but I don't video too often. Moe's getting up there in age-- he will be sixteen in a month-- and I'd rather dote on him than feel like I need to video everything. I really like your new channel name! Thank you for the kind words! Whip up a video soon, if you get the chance....they're always good!
Thanks so much, Harry, for stopping by and for the kind comment! I love your channel.... It's very entertaining and I always learn something! Give my regards to Wallace!
Hey, thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my video! I love camping and I love trains, so that's where I camp! Their arrival gives you something to look forward to! I'm glad the video gave you some ideas! 🙏
Thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! I sure missed the dog. I kept saying, "we'll," "we're," "we need to..." because I kept forgetting he wasn't with me. I didn't sleep well without him, too. Thanks again, and have an awesome weekend. I appreciate you! 🙏
Welcome back Paul! Another wonderful adventure but I did miss Moe in this one. Glad you included his photo at the end. My dogs hate hiking in hot weather as well. Perfect spot to camp & you captured some fantastic train footage. Thanks for bringing us along & for the stories. Highs are going to be in the 60s next week where I live… perfect hiking weather. Stay safe & say 👋🏻 to Moe. Have an incredible week my friend!
Thank you so much for checking out my video and for the kind words! Yeah, the heat was awful. Coming back (which I didn't show in the video) was a real struggle. I was actually getting nauseous and had to stop every couple 100 feet to rest. Oy! It wasn't nearly as much fun without the dog. I didn't realize until I started editing the video that I kept saying, "we will," "we'll need to....," "we're gonna put the tent...." That's only the third time in 16 years I went out without him, and I think I kept thinking he was with me. Every time I woke up at night, I rolled over to check on him, and only then would remember he wasn't with me. But now it's getting cool again, and hopefully we will be out there soon! Thank you again. Your comment means more than you can imagine 🙏
I always think of that movie when I'm on that bridge, lol. It's quite a long bridge, and the trains come up quickly (which is why, when leaving, I was happy to follow that train across... I knew nothing would soon come). The dog doesn't like that bridge. So, not having him with me, I took the opportunity to camp where I haven't in a while. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Yeah, the heat was awful, and the trip back wasn't pleasant, lol. BTW, I've been a long-time admirer of your channel...you have amazing skills! Thanks again!
Pretty cool seeing those raccoons! I’m a train track newbie, who stopped by to investigate (Railway Security)? Anywho, very cool spot and glad you stayed safe!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment! It was a "Hy-rail" maintenance truck - a pickup truck fitted with train wheels so that it can ride on the tracks. I'm sure they were just going to check out some track somewhere. But it got my adrenaline pumping, lol! Thank you again!
A+ video. You are really good at camping. Using the lid of the can to make a handle is genius. 36 Celsius is very hot. I lived in Ontario for fifteen years; the summers were blazing hot and the mosquitos were relentless. I like the idea of tagging your name. I will have to start doing that. When I am in an isolated area, I worry about groups of teenagers. They make sport out of beating people up. Moe is your security alarm because he can hear things before you can. Three questions. 1) Are you filming with a camera on your chest? We can see both your arms. 2) What was that device (8:38) with which you used to fill your water bottle? 3) What does Fleotus Bing mean? I cannot figure it out. You are obviously not FLOTUS, First Lady Of The United States.
Thank you so much for watching and for your very kind comment! Unfortunately, I fried my laptop last week ( knocked a drink over on it) and so I am typing this out one letter at a time on my phone. But I will try to answer your questions. Yeah, at times I was wearing a chest mounted GoPro that I picked up inexpensively at a pawn shop. Unfortunately, there seemed to be some audio issues.... nothing too bad, but I'm curious if my viewers noticed it (?) And then I also used my phone to video. I was using a Sawyer water filter which enables you to drink from streams. You fill the blue bag with (stream) water, and squeeze the water through the filter. They're great...I've used them for years. They remove 99.999% (or something like that) of the pathogens. Yeah, get yourself some "graffiti paint sticks." They write like a crayon (not good on rough surfaces) but contain paint. So they're quite permanent when they dry. "Fleotus Bing." Oh, I loathe that handle, lol. The first time I tried to comment on youtube, it said that I needed to come up with a name ( I had made a google account only moments before). The first thing that came to my mind was "fleotus," a nickname that we had given to a co worker decades earlier. I thought it was going to be a one time thing... just for that one comment.... But it became my permanent google moniker. Ugh, lol! Thank you again for watching and commenting. I'm looking forward to watching your new video. I'm a little behind having fried my laptop. Have a great week and happy Halloween! 🎃
Oh, it does pump, lol. I used to be a prolific freight-rider, but now I'm just a "weekend-warrior" in regards to train hopping, and this particular video was just an "overnighter" camping trip. I hope to take a decent train-hopping trip in August and get it on video. Thanks, buddy! 🙏
Wow! I always look forward to your videos and I was excited to see this one lol up :) I enjoyed every bit of it too! I take my hat off to you. Venturing out in 36.6c heat, wow! That’s super hot! I always learn something from your videos, too. What a great idea for lifting the can of gravy! Are snakes not a problem where you are? If we walked through thick grass and undergrowth like that in the heat of summer, the snakes would be lining up to feast on us 😫 Anyway, thanks for sharing. I missed your furry friend, but was glad to see his photo at the end :)
Thank you so much for your continued support and your kind comment! I unfortunately fried my laptop last week, and so i'm a little behind on video watching, and i'm typing out this comment one letter at a time on my phone, lol. Ugh! So please forgive my brevity. The only venemous snakes in the area are "Copperheads." They're rarely lethal to humans (though you'll get quite ill). They can be lethal to dogs, though, and that's always concerning when with Moe. They're not a real commom snake, though. Moe and I might encounter one every couple years, usually on the train tracks where the snakes bask in the sun. I've got some video of Moe and I encountering them... I will try to find the videos. In the western part of the state you have to be very wary of Timber Rattlers. But I have never heard of one of them being in my area. Thank you again! 😊
Wonderful clip. Sometimes it is safer w/o our other half. Good to see you out there adventuring. Radios come in real handy, once they are learned. See you on the next clip.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! It was lonely without Moe, but somewhat liberating, too (I didn't have to constantly watch and worry). He doesn't do well in heat, especially in his old age. It's cooled down now and hopefully we will get out soon. 🐕
I know you’re still alive, but I was willing you to get off that property in the beginning 😁 Whoa, that bridge crossing. Excellent. That is a tasty pack you got. Who makes that one, Paul? Your can hanger… genius at work here 😉👍🏼 I liked the “hey motherfunster” story. That got you in high alert mode 😁 Missed seeing Moe out with you but better safe than sorry. Give Moe a pat from me and great to see you out again. 👋🏼😉👍🏼
Thank you so much for your continued support! Unfortunately, I fried my laptop last week, and so i'm a little behind on my youtube endeavors. Forgive the brevity of my comment... I am pecking this out, one letter at a time, on my phone, lol. Ugh! Yeah, it's a great backpack, an army surplus "U.S. Marine Corp. Generation 2 rucksack." It's very heavy-duty-- rated to carry 120 pounds-- but also very heavy.... 9 pounds empty...yikes! It was lonely and a bummer not having the doggo, but admittedly a little liberating, too. He hates that bridge, so I thought I would take the opportunity to go some places where I won't take him (anymore). Thank you again for your kind comment and your continued support! I'm looking forward to watching your most recent video....I'm a little behind!
I really enjoyed this video. It's cool to see you are able to walk so far without any footpaths. Here you walk 10 minutes and you are on another footpath. Great cooking, the stick and can idea was really cool, I will have to try that.
New sub here. I just checked you out i like train stuff. Mark (shoestring) is a good friend of mine got me thinking bout riding trains for the next big adventure
Awesome video of the train going over the camera at the start😁 What are you using to mark the walls. Is that chalk or a grease crayon? It's certainly an interesting camp spot and looks cozy! That train at the end looked like it was hauling A.. (donkey). Thanks for taking us out there, Paul😃
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment! I think they are called "paint sticks" (at least here in the local graffiti scene). They do indeed feel like a greasy crayon, but they contain paint, and dry like paint. Again, thank you so much, and keep cranking out your awesome videos!
I was wondering when you were going to have another video coming? this was a really fun lil adventure from start to finish. The wanna be "deer hunter" there must some lazy a$$hole sittin over a bait pile trying to kill something... c'mon man really? ".... The Nuge" does it too. kinda sad taggin that spot without Moe. I loved the trackside chow ya made, I have yet to throw a steak on some coals, that jus looks so right. I also liked the Ol' skool bread over the fire. Loved all the train shots, that's a really cool looking stretch of track.👍🏼
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, and for leaving the awesome comment! "The Nuge"....was a fan when I was 18-- even went to some shows. Not a fan anymore, lol. I'm not a hunter, but a West Virginia buddy is, and he said "baiting" is not uncommon....but he hates it and thinks it's unsportmanlike. Thanks again for for watching!
Wo, thank you, I didn't even think of that! We have run into trail cameras that have antennas on them. Any idea what that's about? 🤔 I'm presuming they connect to wifi or something. Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. And also for the heads up about trail cams!

Solid video, FB. I haven’t been keeping up with the camping. Been working too much. Hope to see Moe again soon. Be careful out there, bro.

Can't wait to watch more beautiful videos from you like this
Thank you, Mariel!
Not much compares to a campfire near tracks. You are giving me some pretty cool ideas. 👍 Bet your heart rumbled every time the train went by. 😊
