It was great for Johnny to be the first to get back in touch with her since Daniel has his life together. Not saying Johnny doesn’t but Daniel has a wife, kids, and a successful career. Before Cobra Kai, Johnny had nothing. His ex had turned his son away from him and he had a low paying career. Getting back in touch with Ali was charecter growth for him. After seeing Ali again, he could finally commit himself to a woman and get his son back
This is video is perfection. The overlays, the colouring and the song. That even after all the time Johnny never got over Allie and it's just amazing Jo, so amazing.

I'm glad you enjoyed this edit; and yeah, Johnny really didn't get over Ali after all that time, though I do think their reunion at the end of season 3 may help him to finally move on. I always loved the idea of them from when I watched the original movie when I was young, so this was a very special vid to make. I'm really happy with how the show decided to explore these characters further.
