"Dave told me that your Arthur had found a good way of making tarpaulins for his toy trains." "Model trains, Jean - they get quite riled when you call them toys - but yes, they look really good. There is a downside, though." "What's that? If it keeps 'em in the shed, and off my furniture, I don't mind. What downside is there from playing with toy trains?" "Model, Jean. Model. Well, it's where those tarps come from. To get enough for most of his wagons, Arthur has been eating Tunnocks wafers..." "Red and blue?" "Red and blue, solidly, for six weeks. He's put on eight stone, and got a special Scouts' achievement badge for 'Unemployed Gas Fitter Type 1 Diabetes Acquisition'." "Is that a thing?" "I sewed the badge on to his parka myself, after that nice Mr Gupta, the Scoutmaster came round and presented it. 14 days - a world record, apparently, so they had the badge made - Mr Gupta's wife was waiting to have an ingrowing toenail done, and the receptionist at the GP's told her about Arthur. He was well chuffed with the badge." "Lovely. At least all his toy trains look nice now." "Models, Jean. How many more times?"
Great tip and a great biscuit. It's sister products, Caramel Logs and Snowballs, are equally spectacular and the "logs" have the same style of wrappers. 👍👌😁 Has anyone seen Tunnocks' products in the shops recently? Their Uddingston factory closed(temporarily) for the first lockdown and I haven't had my Tunnocks fix for many weeks now.
been needing small tarps for the funnels of some stored loco's I've modeled. i hope an entire pack will give me the enough to do three small chimneys, but i might get a second just in case
Jago, I think you might just be a genius. I've never found it difficult to eat a Tunnock's - but now I have a use for the wrappers! Beside making them into mini goblets, that is. And even some good advice about the use of eye shadow - though you might want to ignore this if you favour the Goth/Emo look?
I don't make models at all, but I do paint, and I can't help but wonder if watered down India ink or sumi-e ink would work better than watercolor. I feel like the inks would be less stiff and chalky when dry. I want to say their pigments are finer, but I'm not totally sure on that. Just something to try, maybe.
I didn't click on this expecting a make-up tutorial, but I got one (sorta.) I have that weird feeling I get when two of my passions intersect. 😁 I'll know where to send my old eyeshadows when I next have a clear out though!

What's that from?
@@obliviousotterI - Sadly, it's out of my head. Stuff like that lurks in the deep, dark recesses and cthonic interstices of my mind. Sorry.
Don't apologise, it's fantastic. And informative, I'd never even heard of the blue ones!
@@buggs9950 - Blue ones are plain chocolate. Like the red ones, they are ridiculously addictive. Definitely worth finding.
@@brianartillery Plain chocolate Tunnocks! It's as if a whole new chapter of my life has just begun. I will call this day, day zero.
Brilliant innovation, and tasty as well! Thanks for the video. Carry on.
It's very effective, quite lifelike. That's the fun of modelling, to use anything to create things. Excellent.

Budget Model Railways would be proud of you!
Fantastic rust affect, best I have ever seen.
where was the rust effect?
@@jimtuite3451 All over the Waggon Hinges edges of panels etc.
That is a genius idea :) and if it doesn’t work, you can always keep eating and try again!

Better to be safe than sorry...

These look nice
A Tunnocks caramel wafer (not the chocolate covered ones) would make an interesting load on a weltrol or similar

You are amazing - thank you !!
Great idea, gonna have to try that myself.
I think you mean tarp but I’ll let this one slide 😛
Tarpaulins was? Tarpaulins WAS?
