I was really pissed off to find out this show was getting a reboot. Then I watched the first episode and wasn't sold yet. I just finished the first season. 5 stars. Now I'm just sad I have to wait for more.
I put this on while folding laundry, mainly because of nostalgia for the old series (translation - had a massive crush on Valerie Bertinelli). Wasn't really expecting much, but I ended up binging the entire series and I loved it. Very well written, funny, touching, just an overall excellent sit-com. Order a second season, Netflix, you've got another hit on your hands.

It’s been awhile, but whenever I come back here and listen to this, I feel happiness, almost like a little kid remembering something from my past that was filled with joy. My grandmother passed away from cancer almost a year ago now and I use to watch this show at night to help me fall asleep while I was just waiting on the day for her to leave me and it’s like god chose this show with that theme song because that’s all I have been able to do is take it one day at a time. Being an Asian with Spanish customs (a.k.a. Filipino), ODAAT has been the most relatable and funny sit com I’ve ever seen so far... Netflix made a huge mistake throwing this show out... I just hope NBC, CBS, Fox, Disney, or some network pick this show up!
I have watched the entire first season and found it very entertaining. I was skeptical at first, and only gave it a chance since Norman Lear was involved. Really glad I did.

This Netflix reboot on One Day at a Time, is quite a remake on the original series which CBS did for nine seasons. And the title tune This Is It by Gloria Estefan, is a remake of a Polly Cutter song heard on the program, in which we see the title sequence with a Latino Cast on the Netflix Original Series. We did grow up in Arizona watching the original series, and now we'll watch the new show now streaming on Netflix.

I hope it’ll be picked up by another network because this show is really really really worth saving.
