vrse 4. "I am sending him," says the LORD of hosts, "to enter the house of the thief and of the one who swears falsely* in my name, that he may stay in that house and destroy it** with its wood and stones."

Jeremiah chapter 5 . verse 1. Walk through the streets of Jerusalem, look, ask and search in the marketplaces: if a man is found, if there is one who does what is right, who holds to the truth and I will forgive Jerusalem.
Verse 2. But when they say, "As the Lord liveth," they swear shrilly .
Verse 7: How shall I forgive thee, saith the Lord? Your sons have forsaken me, and swear by gods that have no being. And when I have received their oaths, they commit adultery, and run in droves into the harlot's house.
    8. Like well-fed horses they run to and fro after their neighbour's wife.
    9. Shall I not punish these things, saith the Lord, lest I be angry with such a people?
Cling* to its walls and tear it down, but** do not utterly destroy! Take away these stumps, for they are not the Lord's!
For the house* of Israel and the house of Judah have been unfaithful to me," says the Lord.
They deny* the Lord and say, "There** is no E l! And no calamity shall come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine.
The prophets are wind, and God does not speak in them. So let it be done to them!"
Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of hosts, "Because you have said this thing, behold*, I will make my word in your mouth, and this people wood, that this fire may burn them.
Behold, I bring a nation from afar against you, O house of Israel," says the Lord, "a strong nation, an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know and whose words you do not understand.
verse 16 . His quiver of arrows is like an open grave; they are all valiant .
verse 17. He will eat your harvest* and your bread, he will eat your sons and your daughters, he will eat your sheep and your oxen, he will eat your vine and your fig tree, and he will put to the sword your fortified cities in which you trust .
Verse 18. 'But even in those days,' says the Lord, 'I will not utterly destroy* you .
verse 20. Tell this to the house of Jacob, and proclaim it in Judah, and say :
'verse 21 . Hear this thing, you people* without mind and without heart, who have eyes and do not see, ears and do not hear!
verse 22 . Will you not fear* Me,' says the Lord, 'will you not tremble before Me? I have set the sea** as a boundary the sand, an everlasting boundary, which they shall not cross .
And though her waves rage, yet they are powerless; they howl but do not cross it .
Verse 27 . As a birdcage is filled with birds, so their houses are filled with deceit; so they become strong and rich .
verse 30 . Great things, ugly* things are done in the land .
The prophets prophesy untruths*, the priests rule with their help, and my people love** these things . But what will you do in the end?
    Jeremiah chapter 6 .
verse 1 . Flee, you children of Benjamin, flee from the midst of Jerusalem, blow the trumpet at Tekoa, raise up a sign at Beth-hacherem*! For out of the north a calamity** and a great destruction is coming.
verse 2. The beautiful and slender daughter of Zion they destroy !
