for one, lovesick ellie is my favorite shoujo ever !! its so cute. I haven't read Orange, but Dreamin Sun broke my heart and not in a good way. I was really drawn to the art style, the premise, and the characters at first. I actually thought the main girl was very charming, but my favorite character was the second male lead, who was really childish and cute and down bad for the female lead lol. I really wanted them to get together but the note it ended on for them was honestly so sour. and spoiler but i could NOT believe that the older guy, who deliberately stated he wasn't into high schoolers, ends up dating the female lead and god i just hated it!! so i dropped the series completely, which was so hard because i love both of the beginning male leads and the main character. absolutely not worth the time and investment in my opinion lol. Sorry for the rant lmao but it made me so upset to drop this series for realll I just really hate age gap stories with minors and adults its so creepy to me!!!

I dropped Dreaming Sun for the exact same reason as you did. I really liked the 2nd male lead too!!! Such a cutie haha I love the art style too, but really a shame of how it turned out. But I did quite like Orange, it had a more interesting premise.

I was diagnosed with OCD. So collecting manga is such a mission with how expensive it is 😭. Second hand and buying in shop so is so much cheaper but I just can't. I can only buy online. So buying is very slow for me.
The thought of water damage gives me anxiety. Just opening the packages is such a mission for me cause boxes are so gross.
I hope the water damaged book doesn't cause mold to spread !!

I actually completed all the volumes of Dreamin' Sun a couple years ago and it was okay. Dreamin' Sun was kind of my first introduction to manga and it felt super accessible to me at the time. I wouldn't reread it or anything but personally I became more addicted to Ao Haru Ride than Dreamin' Sun.

Dreaming sun is a little bit… boring. I tried to like it but ended up selling my set because it really just didn’t get me excited at all throughout. Love your videos! ❤️

Orange was among the first manga series I finished!! I still find the artstyle among my favourite ones, that was the key element of that series for me! My favourite ever shojo series however will forever be Boys over flowers! 🌠🌟 (I leave the last 5-6 volumes aside since they were terrible...) But up until volume 28-30 straight, I don't remember the number exactly, the story was so intense and fast paced!! I literally couldn't stop reading lol... kept me awake all night one time and ended up in a manga burn out...! 😂😂 Such a good time!! I would love to see a reprint of this, how on earth is it that they don't reprint a story that is supposed to be so polular among shojo back then?! 🤔 It's very odd to me. Best chemistry among the main couple in my opinion!! (I know not all agree with the enemies to lovers trope. But here when the guy acknowledged he liked her, there was zero turning back from him and I loved that!!!) In the first volumes though the bullying to the main protagonist was a bit extreme...! 😬😬 Thankfully see was a super strong female lead so this was refreshing! Anyway hehe I really wanted to share this 😅🙊
I haven't read the Dreaming sun. Because I found Orange plotwise a bit odd, since SPOILERS AHEAD the fact that in the future she was married to the other guy and instead of like being in love with him etc she was still remembering her past love and discussing it with everyone...? I don't know, this was too odd and I felt sorry for all of them lol... It was very bittersweet. But still I had a great time with it, the art was fantastic and I had read it all at once in fact back then!! 😃😃❤️❤️

I recently found your channel your videos are amazing 🤩 I just started collecting manga I have volume 28 & 29 of Black Clover it has 32 volumes so far I really recommend you to read it and watch the anime it's a great series epic fights🔥 the manga art style is absolutely gorgeous. I'm also saving money for Witch Hata Atelier, Mashle, Vampire Dormitory, The Takuza Guide To Babysitting the first episode was amazing and so cute . Me sitting here waiting for the one volume of manga I have ordered to come 😅 That aside, the first time I read Dreamin Sun when I was younger I liked it but rereading it I had mixed feelings. Glad I never purchased the whole series (I got it from the library). There are a lot of elements that are not great, love triangle, age gap, as well as a few other things I won't mention. Even my favorite character got on my nerves later on in the series, when someone says "no" just accept it, don't keep pursuing them🤦♀️
Omg I feeel you I think those traits I dislike a lot also the scenario and themes wasn’t that pleasing to hear either 😅

The thing I would be worried about with water damaged manga is the risk of mold. Since mold is very prone to spreading throughout the entirety of the collection it could be an issue with water logged manga. Especially since even if you can’t see it chances are they’re still there so I have a zero tolerance policy with water damage in my collection. I’ve had to pass on many volumes I had been looking for because of this but it makes me feel a bit better.
Ngl I didn’t even think about the mould 🤣 yeah water damaged manga is a no go for me it’s also smelly 😭

Fav character from Demon Slayer has got to be Shinobu, she's just so badass. Also, I really enjoy hearing about your manga reviews. Have you read Kimi ni Todoke? I'm currently watching the anime and it is so wholesome. The female lead is so wonderfully kind-hearted and it isn't like your typical popular boy meets shy girl shoujo.

I've ordered from blackwells quite a lot and I've only have 2 issues. First issue was I made a massive order of basically all tokyo ghoul volumes and they accidentally sent me two of the same volume and the second issue was I ordered volume 4 of jujutsu kaisen and the volume was bend (cover and pages) but they asked me to send it back and they send me another one!
Yeah I bought from them hundreds at this point 😂

For Dreamin’ Sun, I have read & own all ten volumes. Between the two, Orange is by far the better read with a more well written and interesting stand-out story. However I kinda feel like Dreamin’ Sun gets too much slack; like it’s not anything new to the genre, won’t be like “wow this is amazing” but it’s not really bad either. I found it to be more of a standard Shoujo though it does have an age gap (age gaps don’t bother me a ton but for those who it does, it’s def a no go haha). I dunno, like I enjoyed it. I do recall feeling like unsatisfied with the ending though, but it was an alright manga series.

Blackwell's drive me insane with the flimsy envelopes they send their books in. Ordered once from them, items came damaged, won't be ordering again. A shame really as they're so well priced.
Aww that’s a shame! I bought most of my collection on there and haven’t yet had a bad experience other than some spines having some scuffs x I actually prefer the bubble bags than the cardboard ones
