I really love your passion and teaching Pastor John. I 100% agree that God did all the work and we are completely helpless to do ANYTHING. But what "threatens" is the "Limited Atonement." That the same beautiful awesome loving selfless God who loves the whole world and sent His Son / Himself to die for the same whole world and also is willing that none would perish . . . In your opinion - would pick and choose people to go to hell and that it is perfectly okay putting them in an eternal hell. Yet He chose me for His kingdom and CHOSE them for eternal hell. So did He not care enough for them to "compel" them to overcome their resistance? I completely realize that HE owes us NOTHING, ZERO, NADA. But He is GOOD and full of loving kindness and righteous and Limited Atonement makes Him a monster. I look at it as this. My husband is out cutting the grass and I am sitting on the porch "doing absolutely nothing". And I look at my husband and say to my friend sitting next to me "my husband is cutting the grass." I did NOTHING to get that grass cut - but I acknowledged that he did because I SEE Him doing it. As in Romans: 1:20-21 "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." It is at all possible that we are thinking the same thing but are expressing it differently? I understand that God raised some up for His common purpose ie: Pharaoh. But could he have raised some unbelievers as Pharaoh - for a greater purpose and some believers for the same greater purpose? Ie: Paul. Just as He commanded Israel to wipe out the Canaanites for His greater purpose of making Him known to the whole world? I would love to have a dialogue to understand this Calvinistic thinking?
Thankyou pastor John, whilst you were preaching this sermon there was a rushing noise, was it windy yes,the more l seek the more l find for his glory at all times.Amen
I love your preaching.Pastor John, like to go your website to read and learn and study. Thanks for all the details of teaching on every book of bible. I also can find the Chinese version there so that I can know and learn more deeply on your teaching. Thanks a lot! Praise the Lord!
I think your videos are great and I’m not disagreeing with you but I just don’t understand right around 27 minutes. How it is talked about in acts and how we can resist God but only to a degree. Isn’t that were free will comes in? Choosing either the light or the darkness. I guess this is more specifically talked about with people born again of spirit.
Praise Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith!
Great teaching 👍
