I am also from Florida. Lived there for 24 years. Moved to VA and bought a Subaru. Now I love to ride the light trails and such. Love the snow. Gonna go to the Olsen fire tower tomorrow thanks to your video.
@@DefiantOffroad Lol I also love the snow! I don’t mind heights at all and I would have climbed it, had my GPS not glitched and I had no signal to restart it being 30 mins away from it and had traveled 3.5 hrs. I need to find a satellite GPS. Any others in this area that is good to go see? Remember I have a Subaru lol.
Now you've knocked out both of the Canaan Valley trails in the snow! Man, it sucks that you couldn't fly the drone. I bet that footage would have been awesome! Still though, great video man!
Yeah, I did Canaan Loop in the snow almost exactly one year prior. I was really bummed about not being able to fly the drone. I had a chance when it was just snowing, but I didn't take it. 😞
Great video. Subbed, if for no other reason than I never once saw an ironic mustache or flannel shirt. Nor did I ever hear the words "sick", "dude", or "bro".
I keep thinking I'm going to run into you one day, on the trail. I guess I just missed you on 1/6, as I joined up with some friends in their Subaru Outback Wildernesses and I, in my Bronco Sport and hit Canyon Rim about 10:30, that mourning. They went on to run Canaan Loop, in the afternoon and we left to meet some other friends, for a trail ride the next day, at Flagpole Knob, having done Canaan Loop, with yet another friend, on 1/5. I found Canaan more of a challenge than Canyon Rim and feel the ratings should be reversed, making Canaan a 3 again and Canyon Rim a 2.
There's a few along the trail, but I don't remember where they are off the top of my head. Check the Canaan Loop. It's only about 20 minutes from canyon rim, and the first half of the trail (or second half, depending on which way you go) has a ton of dispersed sites along it
Sorry if I missed you saying it or otherwise couldn't tell from the footage, but are there any dropoffs by the trail? I'm okay with snow and ice, but won't go anywhere near if the ice is next to a dropoff like at Union Springs or Dunklehollow.
For this video I didn't bother airing down. The snow just wasn't very deep. I was at about 38psi. If it's super sketchy I'll go down to about 25 to start, and go from there.
I’ve been watching a lot of videos. My main concern is tearing up the truck as we plan on doing a cross country trip next year. Your videos seem to go easy on the truck while enjoying some off-roading as well! Thanks for all the content!
Most of the trips that I go on I'm either alone, or only have a copilot, so I'm always mindful that the Defiant has to get me back home after I'm done. I've also ruined a vehicle on a trail before, so that memory keeps me in check when it comes to biting off more than I can chew. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Snow never gets old to me! Between my back and fear of heights, you can keep that fire tower! 🤣🤣🤣

i can't wait to get back to this kind of weather
I'm looking forward to a change of weather myself!
Thanks for the information. Will be looking around.
Thanks for watching!
Pointing my way to Thomas/Davis this weekend for some hot tent camping, 4wding and XC skiing. Such a cool area.
It's definitely my favorite part of WV!
Great video! It looks like it was a great time out there in the snow!
Thanks! It was a day well spent. I never get tired of playing in the snow!
Looks nice with the snow on the ground especially from FLORIDA lol
I was like a little kid playing in the snow 🤣🤣🤣
Kinda miss that .not that much though lol
I love it when it snows. I never get tired of it!
yeah F that tower! lol
Yep! That's what I'm sayin!
I’ve been a skydiver for many years…..I have plenty of sense to say F that tower as well! lol

I think that I got out there about 12:30. It was probably you all's tire tracks that I saw in the snow!
Are there any dispersed camping spots off that trail? Do you know?

There's a few places that have a bit of a drop at the edge of the trail.
Hey what psi do you run when going on snow/ice. I have the General x3 too. Love them.

@@DefiantOffroad Thanks for the reply. Love the channel and video. Keep up the awesome work!
@humanerror091 thank you for the kind words and for watching!
You should get a group together and we can all go out together.
I'm planning to put something together at some point in the near future.
I’d love to tag along.
