There is reason as to why Nepal was not provided support by any other territory. Nepalese rule of other conquered territories was very oppressive and cruel. Natives were recruited as slaves forcefully and taxes on general masses were absurdly high. Their rule in Kumaoun region of Uttarakhand is called Gurkhyali. This is considered to be one of the reason why when Britishers came to Uttarakhand their rule got considerable support initially. Because compared to Nepal occupation there were seen as more humane and good rulers. Though this perception changed later.
